Furthermore, I am looking forward to seeing your reaction the moment you take the book I gifted you into your hands…And then we’d spend the holy night with just the two of us…somewhere nobody will be able to bother us.

Q. In case you had to pair up with one of the Mukami brothers at the Vandead Carnival, who would you choose? (For the Sakamaki brothers: Please give us your answer assuming it was an absolute order from your Father)

Ayato: That one dude. Mukami Ruki. I don’t like how that bastard acts like he’s the shit just ‘cause he’s a lil’ smart. Imma give him hella fast instructions during the flag game* and show him what’s up! Hehe. Just imaginin’ his defeat is makin’ me laugh. And then I show him that I’m the top dog.

*The flag game is one of the mini games you can play in Vandead Carnival. You play as Yui who is holding a red & white flag and has to follow the instructions given to her by one of the boys. (Raising the flags, lowering them, etc.)

Kanato: Teaming up with one of the Mukami brothers, you say? Let’s see…I’ll choose Yuma. I will be busy shopping because there are many exclusive treats to be found at the Carnival. If Yuma is there with me, I don’t have to worry about buying a lot, since I can just make him carry them. I feel as if I would be able to enjoy the Carnival to my heart’s content.

Laito: Eeh~? Do we have to pick someone? I’d much rather go with a cute girl instead~ I mean, the Carnival only happens ever so often, and I need something worth the while.* Nfu~ …Let’s see. If I had to choose, I guess Kou. He’d probably attract a lot of girls after all~

*Laito uses the expression 花がない or ‘hana ga nai’ which literally means ‘there’s no flower’, but it actually means ‘there’s nothing to look at’, implying that there’s nothing enjoyable about a certain scene.

Shuu: Haah…This really is a pain. I’m not even interested in the Carnival in the first place. The Old Man should just give up already. You think so too, don’t you? But if I had to pick, I guess that brute will do. …There’s some things…I’d like to ask him as well after all. 

Reiji: If I had to choose, I suppose Azusa. I do not understand his preferences in the slightest, however, as he enjoys himself in his own unique way, it would mean less trouble for me. I suppose it cannot be helped because this is one of Father’s ideas as well, but I would rather not have to play babysit even on the day of the Carnival. 

Subaru: Ah!? Why do we have to pair up with someone!? Bullshit. But if I go ‘gainst the Old Man’s wish, I’d be in deep shit as well…Che, if I gotta choose, I’m goin’ with a quiet one. For example…Right, Ruki, maybe. I doubt he’d try and strike up a conversation for no real reason, so I guess that would work?

Q. In case you had to pair up with one of the Sakamaki brothers at the Vandead Carnival, who would you choose? (For the Mukami brothers: Please give us your answer assuming it was an absolute order from Karlheinz-sama)

Ruki: I shall choose the eldest of the Triplets. Hmph. There isn’t a single Vampire out there who is easier to handle than Sakamaki Ayato. There truly is no limit to how simple-minded his thoughts and actions are. I assume he will lose his temper getting caught up in instantenous challenges.  If I play my cards right, I should be able to get things to go exactly as planned. 

Kou: Subaru-kun, duh! I mean, that boy’s such an open book~ So I’d be able to enjoy the Carnival at my pace~ Also, we get along well on a regular basis, remember? …Huh? It doesn’t seem that way? How odd! I’ve been trying so hard to make a good impression~

Yuma: I honestly wouldn’t mind pairin’ up with any of them. I mean, it wouldn’t make that much of a difference, right, Ah~ …But if we gotta participate in the Carnival together, I guess that NEET would work. As annoyin’ as it may sound to drag that lazy potato sack from one place to another, it’d make for a decent way to kill time, right? 

Azusa: I’d pick…Ayato-san…I suppose…I mean…I feel like he wouldn’t hold back hurting me if I asked…If anything, he might actually totally beat me up…Right. How about I teach him my recommended way for eating takoyaki at the takoyaki stall…? It’s really delicious…when you sprinkle tons of this shichimi-spice on top…

Q. You venture to the Demon World for the Vandead Carnival, but if you got to travel to a place of your liking with the MC, where would you choose to go?

Ayato: Space! I’d love to think big like that, but I’d probably be difficult to eat takoyaki over there. Besides, it’s such a chore not bein’ able to breathe. Right. How ‘bout I scoop up Chichinashi in my arms and suck her blood while leapin’ into the air? She might grow addicted to the kick it gives her? Hehe, gotta put it to the test right away!

Kanato: I heard there’s an island filled with a bunch of dolls, so I’d love to go there. I am sure I will feel great surrounded by a lot of dolls. Of course, I’ll make sure to play with you as well. However, if somebody were to try and interrupt our time together…I suppose I shall turn that person into a doll as well.

Laito: A trip with Bitch-chan? Then the destination does not matter~ After all, I can enjoy myself plenty as long as she’s there with me. Ah, however…Don’t you think a nudist beach would work fine? Apparently you can’t do anything naughty but…Well, things depends on how you look at them, right~? Nfu~

Shuu: I don’t really have anywhere I’d like to go. It’s a drag. But…If I had to leave, let’s see…I’d like to go to Vienna. There’s concerts being held on a daily basis there, so I can immerse myself in music all day without ever growing tired of it. Of course, I’m only going under the condition that you won’t get in the way of my appreciation.

Kou: I want to have an all-out vacation on one of the Southern islands with their beautiful beaches! If possible, an unhabited island would be perfect~! After all, when you’re as popular as me, things aren’t always easy, you see? I wouldn’t want any additional obstacles to show up when I finally get to spend some alone time with M-neko-chan, right?

Yuma: The Amazon Forest. There’s a bunch of rare plant species there, right? Some of them might even be edible but for starters, I’d take them home with me and grow them in my own vegetable garden.
