Introduction

Hi! I’m new to this kind of thing, my mom started doing this on Facebook but I think she kinda….fell out of doing it. She went under an alias. I’m still young and have nothing better to do so I might as well!

Now I know what you all are probably thinking, especially the older people. “Oh look it’s another person on here ranting about life's struggles and complaining all the time. Don’t you have anything better to do?”

Other than cleaning and watching a 6 month old baby grow up? Nah nothing better really. Might as well make use of my time! Try to get back into hobbies. (totally not using this as an excuse to better my art skills)

Anyway! Let's begin.

Hi! I’m Asteral Empress, please call me Azzy or Luna, whichever one you all prefer! I’m not going to use my name cause I like privacy. I’m your typical 21 year old, still living in your parents house. Only difference is, I’m in my parents basement. That’s a long story which I will get to later. I’m a woman, I’m engaged to my lovely husband Crimson (also an alias). I have a son, even though I'm still living with my parents. Again, long story.

I live with my parents on the edge of a small town, a really really small town… It connects to a medium-sized town 20 minutes away. There are a total of 4 towns where I live, all connecting to each other. I’ve only lived here for about seven years now but no one’s counting.. Hahaha… I live in the United States, though I feel like we aren’t united right now. To be frank I feel like the last time we were united was when 9-11 happened. And that’s pretty bad to be honest. I’m originally from Kansas though right now I live in the south. In Georgia actually, I have to be specific to what state I’m living in since my father is actually retired military.

Going BACK to my parents, I live with them on the edge of ALL of those small towns, on the edge of the county actually. A state park is nearby, about a mile or two away. They got the house back in 2019 when they were looking for a place to settle down in and we eventually ended up here, a small square brick house with 51 acres out in the middle of the sticks. No internet, no cable, just dvd’s and the great outdoors. Eventually they started a farm! It’s still small (currently), but it’s still a farm. We don’t have to buy eggs because we have chickens, lots of them. I could count them all but I think I’d count some twice so I’m not going to. We don’t only have chickens though, we have three goats, five or six ducks, five turkens, three guinea hens, two geese, four dogs and two cats. Three of the dogs are indoors while the other one is outdoors. She guards the animals. We HAD four cats, two male and two female but we lost two. The boys actually. They were outdoors. Since we didn’t want any kittens we separated them. Actually one of them is under a legal contract never to be outdoors again, she’s a rescue. Very sweet actually!

As much as I would like to continue, it'll have to wait till next time.

Prologue: Initium

Forsitan in alia vita essemus una sine invidia.

Where they come from, it was peaceful. It was joyous, happy almost every day. The country and its people were different than that of others in the surrounding countries. They were one of 3 that still had monarchs, then again, they were also 1 of the top 3 most powerful in the world. They were the most peaceful, when there was a dispute, they were called upon to be the middle ground so war wouldn't start.

The reason they were the middle ground was because of the power they held. They had better control of their…..emotions to say the least. Not in the way you think. When a child in their country was born, they were born with something special. They were born with a…gift. They didn’t choose what one they were given and everyone had one. This gift came with a risk, however. While you’re normal, any of the emotions you feel, positive or negative, it depends, stores up. and when the right time comes around, with the right circumstances, it’ll all come out at once.

One day, the kingdom disappeared overnight. No one knows what happened to them or why the kingdom vanished. The land that it was on is now filled with life, trees of all kinds, animals, and critters of all sorts. No houses, no streets, no kingdom, nothing. To this day-

“Where did they go?”

Lily looked at her elder daughter, who was no more than 5, who looked up at her with wide curious eyes. Her younger sister was cradled next to her asleep and hugging a stuffed sock monkey about the same size as herself.

“Ma, where did they go?”

“Well, Ruby, I was getting there before you interrupted me.” Ruby looked at her ma and then looked down.

“Oh.. sorry.”

“It’s alright,” Lily said while laughing softly. “ It’s late. You need rest. We’ll finish the story tomorrow, alright?”

Ruby looked at her ma nodding vigorously while grinning. By the time she got out of her sisters bed and went to her own her mother was at the door waiting to shut it and get to her own bed.

“What about Spot? She didn’t hear the story.” Ruby turned to her younger sister who was still hugging her stuffed rabbit.

“Don’t worry about her, she’s still young. She is 3 years younger than you, my dear. We’ll catch her up tomorrow and finish the story. Deal?” Ruby nodded again snuggling into her bed falling asleep rather quickly as her mother shut their door.

Whispers….that’s all she heard. The air seemed thick, sticky in a sense, the whispers turned into louder voices, then yelling, the sense of things clawing and scratching at her skin, the smell of smoke, screams, fire- someone was calling her name.

“RUBY- RUBY COME ON!”

Who was that?

“RUBY YOU NEED TO WAKE UP!”

Why did they sound familiar?

“RUBY PLEASE WAKE UP!”

Where was she?

“RU-by, come on sweety wake up, I know today's going to be a busy one but breakfast will be cold by the time we get down there.”

Oh….it was just a dream. Father was waking her up for breakfast, today was the day we helped prepare for the Glowlight Festival that was happening tomorrow.

“Now that you’re awake, quickly get dressed. We have a busy, but fun day ahead. You have always said you wanted to help with this, have you not?” Her father, King Talon of Eurinthia. Kingdom of Magic and Jewels of all kinds, serving as a safe space for all who enter regardless of where they're from.

“I do! Give me one moment!” She shot out of bed running to her wardrobe and flinging it open. Her father laughed as he exited the room, a maid coming in to help the small 5-year-old get dressed. She rushed to get dressed so she could eat.

Today was going to be a busy day after all.
