Finally!

I am happily married to the only man I'ved ever loved and now I'm 3 months pregnant with our honeymoon baby.

Yes, that's quite an intro, Haha!

Are these reasons enough to justify my blog's hiatus? TBH, I was actually mostly pressured, lame and lazy. Yes I was busy, but I had time too especially right after our wedding. We are 4 months married now and I am mostly just here at home having all the time in the world because I am proudly a plain housewife. I can no longer be a career woman for good reasons (reasons that I can't disclose here in my blog).

I've been meaning to start blogging again. However the first trimester of my pregnancy wasn't easy. I had crazy morning sickness and I felt sick most of the day. I couldn’t even figure out what I wanted to eat.

I'm over that stage now which is why I'm back at tapping my keyboard, rocking my brain thinking which of my stories should I share first. Our wedding preparation perhaps? Yes, I think that's what I should share first because the long hiatus started when I began preparing for our big day.

My future posts will surely be different from my previous blog content. They will probably be more pregnancy-mom-wife related topics. Of course I'm still going to post product and service reviews and a lot more. We'll never know. Let's see.

Just a heads up guys, this will probably take me a month to post something again as I have to do the editing of our wedding photos first before I could upload those in here and start sharing our stories.

DOROTHY MUST DIE BOOK SERIES with Prequels These ruined my childhood. Seriously. I'm not saying these books aren't good. They're fun to read and I liked everything about it except the Dorothy part. I still can't quite believe that Danielle Paige made her the extreme antagonist in the whole land of Oz. I just can't. I always imagined her as the kind and innocent farm girl. Not that I don't like Amy Gumm. I like her too... I just can't simply get over the fact that Dorothy ruined Oz. 😞 Sad. My favorite character would be Ozma. She's a fairy from the Lurline bloodline making her the rightful ruler of Oz. She's oozing with power which I think is really cool. If there's one character I would like to meet in person, that would be Princess Ozma herself. Not Amy Gumm. If I can only choose one favorite character, I'll choose Ozma without any hesitation. Look, she's not the main character and she didn't have that much part in the story. She was even mostly useless in 2 books. But I liked her. I don't know, maybe I just have a thing with fairies 😉

JULY FAVORITES! I'm a bit late in posting my random favorites for the month ofJuly. What's that famous quote again? "Better late than never"?? Why of course!! 😂😂😂 I do have six items last month that made it to my favorite list: MAYBELLINE NEW YORK BABY LIPS GLOW Baby Pink: Mixed Berry Been using Maybelline NY Baby lips glow for quite a while now. At least 4 years to be quite exact. I've tried BERRY CRUSH too but I liked MIXED BERRY flavor better. It brings out the natural pink color of my lips without being overly tinted. You guys know me: I'm always after the natural look kind of make up which is why I like this lip balm a lot. Its label says it locks up 8 hours of moisture but I beg to disagree. I think the longest it lasted on my lips is only 30 mins to 1 hour. It's still a favorite though. DYNAMITE CHEWS mints and fruities They're not as good as Mentos Mints but they're not that bad for a P10/pack chewy mints. I honestly didn't fall for it the first time I tried these mints so it wasn't an immediate favorite. However, I always find myself buying these at 7/11 stores, hoarding a lot of packs. So I guess it's my favorite now? Still not quite sure, tbh. The mints are good... but I'm not too keen about the fruities. It's more sugary than fruity. VINDA POCKET TISSUE I'm obssess with these... and as you probably can tell in the picture above, I hoard too much of these pocket tissues. It's not like your ordinary tissues, these are made of cloth-like material so it doesn't tear apart too easily unlike the usual papery tissues. Each ply is big enough to be a handkerchief. It's both soft and smooth which is why I love using it to wipe dirt off my face. And believe it or not, it's only Php 5.00 ---- verrrrry cheap for such a quality product. I can't really read much more on its packaging because VINDA is the only readable characters printed on it. I'm not even sure where it is made from, it could be Japan or China. If you want to try these out, they're available nationwide... but only at NOVO stores. Yes, just at Novo stores. SHUT UP & KISS ME Moisturizing Matte Lippie by Happy Skin Shade: Honeymoon Glow Yes, it is matte and it's moisturizing too. And that is why it's one of my favorites. I honestly was expecting a nude shade but when I applied it in my lips, it's far from nude. It's kinda both pink and brown. It's probably just my lips, I don't know. I was disappointed but not for long because the color still looks great. I always apply first a very thin layer of my baby lips glow lip balm before putting on this lippie. So my lips aren't dry but my lippie is matte which means the color stays on longer than usual. Happy Skin products are made locally but it is considered as one of the high end local products in the Phils. I bought this at Chimes Boutique for 600 and it's worth every penny. Sadly, I broke mine when it fell about 4 feet. I can still use the lippie. Just can't put it upside down or the entire lippie will fall off. I tried the lighter hack for broken lipsticks but it won't hold on for long. Sad. :( FINESS OIL CONTROL SHEET Rose Scent I have extremely oily skin. So carrying an oil control sheet is a must. Got this OCS at watsons for only P36. I like that it's big enough (unlike the other awkwardly small sheets) to cover up oily parts on my face. The best thing about it is its scent which smells like real roses! I'm not exaggerating. I swear. MAXIPEEL EXFOLIANT SCRUB This has become a necessity. Been using this for 8 months now. When I ran out of stocks, and got lazy buying one at the mall or drug stores, I decided to try stop using this. Then zits started popping out every where in my face... two at a time! Such a horrific experience. It happened twice when I attempted to stop using it then pimples start clogging my face. So I'm pretty much convinced it's not mere coincidence. I won't dare try to stop using this the for a third time because girl, I don't really want to put my skin at stake. No, not with pimples and all other sorts of breakouts. No, not at all.

TERRARIUM I wasn't kidding when I said I don't quit easily. So here I am bragging my terrarium 😁 That's right. After my failed first attempt, I somehow managed to create a terrarium using the second aquarium bowl I purchased at Novo last week. It's very simple and very green. This is composed of only 4 plants (from 3 varieties) and some moss I found in our backyard garden. It would have been much better if I can put tiny figurines in it to make it look like a mini forest but I don't have one. I have yet to buy some real cute figurines to put in my terrarium. The white sand/pebbles added drama in my terrarium. It would have been just one dull green terrarium if not for these white pebbles. I placed this on top of my durabox in my room near the windowsill so it can get enough but not direct sunlight. My sister gave me her orchid spray which is what I use to water them. A spray is the best tool to use to not over water the terrarium. 🐆🌲🌳🐞 I'll post another picture maybe next week once I have added some elements on it. 👍

Been very happy when I finally found the perfect pots for my babies! It’s cheap, very light but looking sturdy. With a subtle same color floral design in the edges. Watch out for my next gardening blog post coming up soon! I can imagine these looking fab when I glam them up for our wedding day 😍

Another sulit treasure! Di ko napicturan nung di pa nataniman 😄 But yeah, that’s the flower pot looking gorgeous with my i-don’t-know-what’s-the-name plant. it has a small tray where you can place it over, so you may place the flower in your center table without worrying about the dirt. Brilliant! 👌

LARGE LOG SHAPED POT WITH TRAY NCCC Mall Uyanguren Department Store Php 35.00

Opo di ko rin ulit napicturan nung di ko pa nataniman 😄 It comes with a tray just like the other pot but this one is much larger. It even still look spacious even after I planted it with 3 different flowers. Or plants. Or Whatever. I was planning to use this for my dish garden project but something didn’t feel right about the size if it is to be used for such purpose. So I changed plans (or should I say “I ran out of plans”) and ended up planting all these plants in this pot.

THIN AQUARIUM NOVO - Illustre Branch Php 55.00, 2pcs

I had this cute terrarium idea so I bought this aquarium for I thought it would make a very good container. However, when I started doing my terrarium, nothing feels right with my idea anymore. I can’t quite make up my mind how to layout the elements. Everything just looks scattered. I ended up planting here my 3 succulents for another dish garden attempt…. which I failed too. Sabi ni ate puno raw masyado tingnan. How sad 😥 … then here goes myself wanting to redo everything again.. I have that urge while writing this.. I’m such a failure.

EILY FRAGRANT ROOM SPRAY COLLECTION Watsons - Abreeza Branch Php 42.00 for 3 pcs.

Just can’t get enough of these Eily fragrant room sprays. Their pink box collection made it to my monthly favorites (see previous posts). Sweet pea dreams is my favorite scent in that said collection. I’ve emptied the other 2 room sprays but reserved my favorite one for special occasions. I honestly wanted to buy the gray and yellow box collections at the same time but willed myself not to make a purchase because sometimes, I can just be an extravagant hoarder of stuffs that I like a lot. The gray box can wait. I’m excited to use these sprays from the yellow box collection. It is composed of apple, citrus and vanilla scents. Will let you know which among of these three is my favorite.

CACTUS & SUCCULENT DISH GARDEN

I never thought I could get this crazy over succulents, AF - Excuse my french in acro 😂

Ever since I’ve decided not to be one of the cliché vase-collector-wife for interior designing, I found myself falling in love in the idea of becoming a passionate succulent dish garden-er instead. 🌵🌵🌵 Like I wake up every morning with plenty of dish garden ideas popping out of my head. Yes, it’s currently my obssession.

Before my succulent dish garden ideas, I was a frustrated bride-to-be who wanted succulents as my wedding favors. BUT, it’s too expensive and impractical though I must say they’re really cute despite being costly.

But I don’t give up easily on my dreams, you know? If I can’t have them as wedding favors, I could probably have them as house decors. I’m sure they’ll look classy in white dividers and over rustic table mats. I could imagine adorable cactuses lining up in the walls near my doorstep - that’s how I could welcome my visitors at home 🌵🌵🌵 why not?

The photoset above are images of my very first Succulent Dish Garden attempt. I like that it’s simple and I’m loving the contrast of dark greens and creamy sand. It’s satisfying just by looking at them. When I get the cabbage looking succulents (sorry don’t know their names yet), I swear I can make some more glamourous dish gardens. 🌿
