Anti-honesty hour. Ask me anything and I will respond with blatant lies.
Are you jealous of Sirius?
She let out a harsh barking laugh, dabbing at the corner of her eyes with her fingers before her features fell deadpan and her hues stared coldly. “ I’m not jealous of anyone. Least of all that mutt. ”
@smadfoot
She’s so cute when she’s coming up with destructive ideas.

Regulus
“ I worry about him. Head in the clouds and so easily led–with a brother like that, maybe it’s better off pretending you’re someone else. I just don’t know what goes through his brain. But he’s got a shock in store for him when he’s of age and he has to be the head of this family. They’d be better off letting me do that job. Reggie doesn’t want to be an heir and I want him to be happy. ”

Andromeda
“ I’m attempting to be patient with her. I know she was the closest to him out of all of us, but she just doesn’t seem to get that he is the ENEMY now. Anyone who goes against this family is an enemy no matter who they are. I mean, did she not see Walburga’s face–that woman is cold as ice, but you could see the pain that maniac caused her. He cares for no one but himself. Andy is so many things, beautiful, kind and prudent–but just so naive to think this behaviour can – or will – continue. ”

“ He’s not dead, he’s just dead to me. He could actually die and I’m not so sure I’d care at this point. ”

“ We have the same interests, come from the same background. I can tolerate her for long periods of time without wanting to jab my wand in her neck. I suppose that would make us friends. ”

To say that keeping the peace at home and keeping her relationship with Sirius unchanged was a Olympic balancing act would be down playing it. Even before Sirius left home, tensions were high and it was impossible for Andromeda not to notice how each family member reacted when it did happen. But she was not about to let anyone tell her to banish Sirius from her heart, or her life. While she made her feelings on the matter perfectly clear, Andromeda knew it was a bad idea to continue to press the issue. So she remained quiet about her feelings and her interactions with Sirius. When Andromeda received a note from Bella to urgently meet her in the empty classroom, Andromeda did not waste time getting there. From the note’s lack of greeting and hard writing she knew Bella was angry about something. She walks into the room ready to be a listening ear saying. “Hey, Bella whats wrong?”Â
Needless to say Bella’s reaction stopped Andromeda dead in her tracks, a feeling of fear washing over her. Shit, she knows Andromeda thought to herself as Bella berated her. “Bella calm down. I don’t even know what are you talking about! What have I apparently done now?” She gave an obvious cringe when Bella used the blood traitor term knowing she was talking about Sirius.Â
The brunette ran a hand through her dark tresses, eyelids falling shut momentarily so that she could give herself time. Time to collect herself, to think. Ever the observant, she caught her sister's cringe and once again, an anger surged from within, her fingertips tingling with a burning intensity. The fact her sister had chosen to plead ignorance made her wonder what else her sister had been up to, or perhaps that Andromeda just seemed to think Bella was stupid. “ Apparently? There's no apparently about it, sister. ” she hissed, features creasing incredulously at the words that spilled forth from her sisters lips as she shook her head. Bellatrix crossed her arms over her chest. It was so like her little sister to play the innocent card. “ You tell me. I'm giving you a chance to tell me the truth and admit you've been going behind my back. ”
smadfoot:
“Can’t you, like a normal person, just open your mouth and speak to gain people’s attention?” he snapped, irritated by the sound of her nails scratching across the table. “And I don’t have anything of yours, what are you talking about?”Â
Instantly Bella's hues narrowed into threatening slits, her nails digging into the table's surface as she eyed her cousin's features. She wouldn't hesitate to cause a scene, after all she didn't care what people thought of her, but dealing with the aftermath sometimes was more trouble than it was worth in the first place. “ The ring your father gave to you. ” Her lips twisted into a sorry smile, satisfaction written all across her face. “ You'll find it belongs to me now. ”

Regulus knew that some of his behavior had been reckless lately, what with flirting with a muggleborn he had bumped into in the hallway to starting fights with his housemates. As an heir to his family, it was understood that he had to be on his best behavior or at least exhibit a good enough image. But Regulus was young, naive, and still had so much to learn. Of course, he knew that the students residing in the castle loved to gossip and nothing that Regulus did in the eyes of someone stayed secret so it was only expected for news to travel to his older cousin. That afternoon, Regulus sat in an isolated part of the library, his head ducked over a book that he had checked out of the Restricted Section. He was supposed to be reading, though instead found himself doodling Hugo’s name in the top right corner of the parchment, his mind wandering to the clumsy Hufflepuff. The  lazy smile on his lips quickly vanished as he heard a too familiar voice and his book shut with a snap, wincing at the use of the nickname as he looked up at Bellatrix. The nickname didn’t sound as good coming out of her mouth as it did Hugo’s. “Don’t call me that.” He muttered in response, his cheeks a faint red color. Regulus loved his cousins though he got along well more with Narcissa, who was closer to him in age. Bellatrix just frightened him most of the time, however Regulus knew she meant well…probably. “I don’t need to study, I’ve finished my assignments. I’m just doing some reading.” He told her, hoping she hadn’t noticed his sketches.
It seemed to be the same with all of her cousins and sisters. That same sigh and look of disdain when she struck up conversation with them. The only exception tended to be Narcissa, but even sometimes her younger sister exhibited the same symptoms. Bellatrix didn't care though, she was only doing what she considered to be her duty and if that came with the territory then so be it. Her fingers rubbed together as she fought the urge to snatch the book from his grasp to see what the younger Black seemed to be so enthralled by. “ Too GROWN UP to be called your nickname now? ” questioned the female with a faux frown as she moved to sit in front of him, moving the books off of the chair with a flick of her wand. As she sat, she threw one leg over the other and sunk into the comfort of the chair before focusing on her cousin once more. “ Is that so? Because you looked ever so absorbed. Well, what is it you’re reading? ”Â
catchgreta:
Greta glanced up at her, with a deep sigh before sitting up straight. “Take it as you wish, Bellatrix. I was just stating a fact. Why would I lie just to make you feel good?”
“ Oh don't you worry, love, nothing you could do-- ” she paused in her tracks, her lip curled in slight disgust as she gave the girl a once over before going back to looking through the books. She finally pulled one from the pile, tucking it under her arm and then turning to the girl once more. “ --could make me feel good. ”Â
itsybitsynott:
Gabrielle looked up at the girl, startled away from the pages of her book. The fifth year was uncertain of what Bellatrix was talking about, but didn’t want to make the older girl angry, either. “I am not sure what you’re talking about. But if you tell me, I’ll gladly give it back.” She said, looking quite confused.
“ Why do you always look as though someone killed your puppy? ” She asked bluntly with a perfectly arched brow, lips pursing as her eyes rolled back in their sockets. She had no time for people who were constantly in a state of self-pity. The brunette looked over her nails in boredom before pointing an index finger towards the book at the bottom of Gabrielle’s pile. “ That's my book. ”Â
narcxssablxck:
Narcissa turned slowly, a wicked smile on her face as she placed a quick hand over Bella’s. “I know you’re one for the dramatics but honestly, Bella, it’s just a necklace.” Narcissa gave her sister a challenging look. “Now the question is, what are you going to do if I don’t give it back?”Â
Her hand closed over her sisters for a moment before she dropped it slackly, running her nails across the table top once more. “ A necklace that looks far better on me than you. ” shot back the brunette, teeth baring in a rare smile that was reserved for only her little sister these days. She was lying of course. Her sister had a celestial beauty that far surpassed the rest of them. “ You should know by now, Cissy, that my arsenal is far greater than violence and stealing. It would be far less troubling for you to just hand it over now. ”
r-dolphuslestrange:
Rodolphus had been sitting in his armchair quietly, reading through a book he had found just sitting out in the Common room. It had been kind of a quiet morning which he didn’t mind much at all. He winced hearing the sound of something like nails on a chalkboard, peering over his book to see the eldest Black dragging her fingers against the wooden table. Letting out a sigh at the noise, he reached out and placed his hands over hers to cease the movement, glancing up to meet her gaze when he heard her words. “Oh, do I? And what is it that you seek from me..Black?”
When the boy put his hand on hers, she released a restless sigh and snatched her arm back, opting to place it on her hip instead. Her tongue traced along her teeth teasingly before she clicked her tongue. “ My mistake, Lestrange. I thought you were somebody else. ” retorted the girl, letting her shoulders roll into a shrug. “ Should've known. Not many people have a head shape quite as... square as yours. I mean, it’s really quite something to be proud of. ”Â
dolohovscurse:
“Well, one usually does write on parchment,” Antonin said with a sarcastic tone, eyeing her closely, not exactly liking people touching his things “Well, are you satisfied? Or are you going to continue to rifle through my notes?”
“ And one usually tends to write things of interest... unlike whatever it is you’ve written. ” she mused, frowning at the scribbles on the parchment. At the mention of satisfaction, she stopped immediately and turned her head to him, her lips sliding into a smirk. “ NEVER. But do tell me, do you reduce everyone you entertain to boredom? ”
chitlydia:
Lydia winced as the girl scratched her nails across the table. “Can you not do that?” she grimaces, looking confused by her words. “Sorry, I don’t think I – oh.” She held up the quill she had been using. “So sorry, I didn’t realize I had taken yours, I really just picked the first one I could lay my hands on.” she said, placing it on her outstretched palm.
The brunette blinked in surprise at the girls request for her not to scratch her nails across the table and she did cease for a moment, before resorting to tapping her nails on the table instead. Click, click, click. Her lips could only curve further into their smirk as the other girl apologised, taking the quill back in a swift, graceful movement. “ Pay more attention next time. ” her eyes flickered from the quill to the girl as she brushed the feather of her quill against her chin. “ It was a present. I would've not taken it lightly if it were stolen from me. ”
