Tears of Ecstasy (1995, dir. Hiroyuki Oki)
Love Massacre (1981, dir. Patrick Tam)
Many fantastic classic movies from Hong Kong have either no HD rerelease (or sometimes, if they do, a botched one). Sadly, this Rothko-inspired thriller can be added to the long list of HK films that need good remastering. Thankfully, in the meantime, we have a lovingly crafted LaserDisc digitization by YouTube user L Saille.
Yesterday Girl (1966, dir. Alexander Kluge)
Keep Your Right Up! (1987, dir. Jean-Luc Godard)
I Like You, I Like You Very Much (1994, dir. Hiroyuki Oki)
A short and sweet gay pinku film about a love triangle. Bonus points for a poster of Gregg Araki's The Living End seen in the background of multiple scenes.

The Hanatarash Born To Be Wild CD. One copy in existence. Look carefully at the green circle: it contains Eye’s tooth!
Watercolor image boards by Masaaki Yuasa for Catsoup. Yuasa is only credited as animation director of this film but his fingerprints are all over this thing it wouldn’t be to far a stretch to label him the director.
This has nothing to do with the manga but it’s amazing. There’s no way the director of “Martian Successor Nadesico” could pull off something as abstract as “Cat Soup”. Just look at “Mind Game” it’s clear Yuasa is truly the director.
is there a hq scan out there of mio and shun in space with instruments??? its like my favorite piece of art from the series and i cant find a hq one for my phone wallpaper :(
Hello there,

Everytime i get to this post i say out loud ‘rivers, tell me who it is!’ and then i press play and he tells me
professor layton versus ace attorney is the best game because they didn’t even bother changing art styles to make it consistent. they literally look so goofy
this is a peanut man next to a fully rendered anime human and they didnt change a goddamn thing about either of them. they just slapped them the fuck together and called it a day and i will love them forever for it
