After the death of spork and Miyuki being so rash and shit, there’s a good chance that red and purple were thrust into a spot of high power at a very young age due to there being no other adult successors. This could also explain how childishly they act tbh.

i dont even post here anymore but this is my exact logic i love you. i imagine like they're like 17-19 years old (human years, about 170-190 irken years) they literally ACT like teenagers. zim is younger than them and hes known them for a long time on top of them being the tallest, which is why he latches onto them parentally so gosh darn much. it would make sense considering he also didnt have much of a childhood as he was designed to be irken, a soldier. he's emotionally stunted. he didn't get the opportunity to grow that he needs so hes attempting to take it upon himself to get it.

i also think that the tallest are slightly defective, in the way that they can both feel one emotion they are not supposed to: love. not to the extent that zim does, but they will mourn each other. they care deeply for each other even if they're idiot teenage boys. they are not supposed to feel affection and they do anyway. but this was able to go under the radar because they were the tallest living irkens and they needed a ruler quickly. and now that they're tallest, what could really happen to them?

Casual reminder to the entire fandom that Astro is canoncially the most powerful toon.... he's a LITERAL PSYCHIC. As in telekinesis, dream weaving , etc. He is one of the few toons that in regular life has actual mutant powers ( the other being Glisten who can teleport ). I genuinely want answers as to how Delilah Keen created a pair of cartoons with mutant powers.

so like. I don’t think the toons are actually the objects they represent. Like, if Sprout was a regular strawberry he would’ve rotted. And robots that are as technically advanced as Vee were NOT possible in 1988. My theory is that they’re all some sort of organic life form but they LOOK like certain objects because they were biologically modified to be cutesy and cartoony.

THAT BEING SAID. All of them are based on cartoon characters. And each character is based on an object. So why the FUCK does Connie look like the ghost of a human being?

In the human world it makes sense. She’s not actually a ghost, just a representation or look alike. But in the cartoon, why is there a human ghost??? Does that imply that humans existed in the cartoon????? Because that changes the entire lore of the cartoon itself-

Like it's gotta be hard dealing with two genuine sets of superpowers around Gardenview before the closure, especially if there was some point in time where Astro and Glisten lacked control over their abilities that they currently have.

Just imagine what the first month with Astro and later Glisten being alive was like in terms of dealing with their powers for the staff.

Description: This toon was left alone for a prolonged period of time in her room prior to this incident. We are not aware of the reasoning behind this event. Around 20 minutes after she had been isolated, all computer and television screens became filled with strange pop-up ads, all containing some sort of image of Vee in them. Notably, one of these pop-up ads said 'look at me' in bold lettering. This continued for around 30 minutes, pop-ups only appearing more and more when closed out of in groups of three. Following this incident, Vee was instated a toon handler.

the funniest thing about the invader zim comics (especially issue 50) is how aware of the fandom they are and how determined they are in reassuring you that zim and dib are ENEMIES, and irkens are EVIL UNFEELING ROBOTS, — which after the lil meat man issue kind of falls flat — and how NO ONE UNDERSTAAAANDSS so we need to HAMMER IT IN. if it wasn't so self conscious and just continued on how it was it would be fine. meta comments here and there are funny but jesus christ calm down! yes, the fandom, especially in the 2010s, misinterpreted the characters like crazy and zadr has always been here but let them do their thing? it'll happen anyway. (i'm aware this goes against my dib textpost i made a while back but I'M A MULTIFACETED BEING OK??? and it was ultimately a dunk on florpus more than on the fandom)

i just feel like the later comics are focused on reassuring the audience that the characters are a certain way more than they should be. chammy wamboo was a show that the fandom's going under the creators skin more than anything. it constantly feels like i'm being hit on the head and getting "THIS IS THE TRUTH!!
