“Hi, I’m Daisy!”

Art trade I finished up the other day for Toaferts64 on Deviantart and Twitter, who requested an art trade through Discord - I needed more practice drawing the Mario princesses so I jumped right on the opportunity!

I drew his OC Sapadelle meeting Princess Daisy in the style of the Mario Galaxy movie’s 2D concept art, as Daisy is one of his favorite Mario characters and Sapadelle is very Daisy-coded in my books. This was fun! 🔥

Had to jump ship for a long while due to a whole slew of irl things (mainly that I moved + worked an intensive full-time job for almost a year, did some travelling and I’m in the process of finding a better job among some health stuff) but uh to make up for the absence here’s a buncha WIPs and things I’ve made lately in no particular order:

1. Quick art trade thing with @pebbie-chu of Underswap Papyrus x her yumesona, Wisp! 💖

2. Gift fan art for @von-koopas-muse, a render of her adorable OC Princess Elizabeth in the official 2D Mario artstyle!! 🌤️

3. Parody redraw of the Simpsons Sugarposting meme but as the Super Mario RPG level up cutscene (feat. le me being bad at drawing hands LOL x3)

4. Unfinished mock-up renders of my Mario self-insert as well as what their Aero Suit would look like if they appeared in Mario Kart :0

5. Silly fuckass warmup sketch of the Thousand Yard Stare meme but with Cynthia from Pokémon based on an inside joke from a Shining Pearl Nuzlocke I did years ago (I shit you not I swept her entire team with a Gardevoir LMAO)

6. Mock-up sketch of what my younger sibling’s OC, Ember, looks like without their Shy Guy mask.

Geno in the official 2D Mario artstyle! 💙⭐️

As per the 2D Mario renders I also thought I’d showcase the flat color work an lineart on their own, I spent WAY too much time on this LMAO.

This doozy right here is a blurb showcasing how I mapped out Geno’s “canon” proportions based on given information, featuring some mock-up sketches (WARNING CURSED GENO-WITHOUT-HIS-CAPE SKETCHES + INCESSANT YAPPING 😭).

And lastly… the most fun part, the color schemes! 💖

In order of appearance, left-to right:

1. Geno’s 1995 render from his promotional artworks

2. In-game sprite

3. The 2023 remake (it’s wild how drastically different this one is from the others)

4. @nintendonut1’s color scheme (yes I had to sneak this in for the novelty) 🤭
