The Goths

Mortimer and Bella Goth have been married for a very long time. They recently celebrated their golden anniversary, and lay on their death beds. They spent their final days reflecting on their wonderful and adventurous life. Even though it sadly comes to an end they are proud of their accomplishments and the family they raised. It had a rocky start with Bella going crazy and being sent to a psych ward for a few years. She started believing her neighbors were plotting against her and secretly had aliens come and abduct her. She honestly thought she was in a new town surrounded by alien families and that her family was gone. Thankfully she was able to receive amazing treatment from her doctors and came back to reality. Seeing the work the doctors did to treat Bella encouraged her daughter, Cassandra Goth, to pursue a career in science and eventually create a medicine to treat those who have mental breaks such as her mom did. Bella started taking the medication as well, since it prevented those crazy moments from occurring again, she just had to take one pill a day for the rest of her life. Cassandra's pill became very popular and she received lots of grants to create more medications to help people with mental conditions, this was the beginning of Cassandra's very successful science career. Bella and Mortimer were so happy their daughter found love and married someone who actually cared for her, as they knew Don was a player and only wanted her for the family's fortune. They were even more thrilled when they found out they were having a granddaughter, Daisy. They loved her very much and spoiled her as much as they could. Bella and Mortimer spent most of their days at home watching Daisy and teaching her to play the piano, she actually enjoyed it too which made Mortimer very proud. Bella and Mortimer were also very proud of their son Alexander Goth. He followed his father's and sister's footsteps by also being curious in the science field. As a child Alexander was either nose-deep in a book studying research, looking through his telescope, or outside exploring nature and way the environment works. As he grew up and eventually went to college he found himself being more interested in nature and majoring in Environmental Science, he wanted to make the planet a better place to live and knew he first needed to understand it. Alex meet a beautiful girl in his dorms and after a few late night study groups and random conversation found out she lived in his hometown of pleasantview and was connected to him in a way. Her name was Lucy Burb and Alexander actually found out that his sister's husband Dareen Dreamer had a son, Dirk Dreamer, who is married to Lilith Pleasant-Dreamer which is actually Lucy's cousin; what a small world. This small connection got Alexander and Lucy talking more and more and found out the reason they never knew each other was because Alexander went to private school while Lucy was in public school. After a few short months they started dating and fell madly in love with each other very quickly. By their Junior year the college lovebirds got engaged. This made Bella and Mortimer very happy, as they thought they might pass away before their son met someone since he constantly had his head in a book. Life was going well for the Goths and now as they found out they both only had a few more days to live they had to get their affairs in order and decided to leave a hefty amount of money for each of their kids, a college fund for Daisy, and to leave their house for Alex and Lucy, it would be a great place for them to start a family. Alex and Cassandra went back to the Goth house and stayed with their parents for about 4 days and on the last day they sat with their parents talking of the good old days, laughing about funny memories, reliving fun vacations, and reading to them. Then just suddenly almost at the exact moment Bella and Mortimer swear they see hula dancers and they both close their eyes one final time. Alexander and Cassandra say goodbye and cry knowing their parents are gone.

The Brokes

This family starts with Brandi Broke and her husband Skip Broke. Skip had a terrible pool accident and was in a coma for 10 months. This left Brandi alone with their teen Dustin, toddler Beau, and she was 7 months pregnant with their son Ryder at the time of the accident. Those 10 months with Skip gone was very hard for Brandi, she had to sacrifice so much and work long hours to provide for her family, her son Dustin worked also to help out and his girlfriend Angela, would often come to babysit Beau; and Ryder once he was born. When Brandi got that phone call one morning that Skip had finally woken up and could come home the next day she was ecstatic! Even though she was happy to have her husband home it was more of a struggle for her. Now she had another person to support since Skip wasn't well enough to work yet. Each day Brandi's smile faded more and more. This made Skip feel so helpless and determined that he decided to sue the pool ladder company when the ladder broke as he tried to get out of the pool. Simmer Pools, the ladder company already knew they made a batch of faulty ladders and did not want that info getting out so they offered Skip $500,000 simoleons to keep that info private and he accepted.

It wasn't enough to live off of forever but it was enough to catch up on bills, send Dustin to college, and have Brandi quit her job and stay home to take care of Beau and Ryder. This also allowed Skip to get a part time job as a car mechanic to keep money coming in. The Broke family was thriving and able to live a happy life. During Dustin's 3rd year of college, it was finally Beau's turn to attend university and he went to the same school to be close to his brother. Beau started studying Mathematics as he always loved math, solving impossible equations, and he really liked that there was always one answer, there was no mystery to math. During Beau's sophomore year he started dating his dorm roommate Renee and introduced her to the family. Everyone loved Renee and thought she was perfect for Beau, very fun and outgoing which was the opposite of Beau, she brought the adventure out of him and everyone was excited to see where that would go. As you know, Dustin graduates and moves in with Angela Pleasant, they marry and have a beautiful daughter together, and Dustin works as Darleen Dreamer's medical assistant. Ryder Broke is a teen by this time, very good kid, smart and loves being around his family. He studies well and has a crush on his neighbor Isabella Burb. Ryder spends most of his time playing soccer and baseball with friends, and hopes to one day play professional sports, if he can decide on which one. Brandi and Skip are so proud of the boys they raise and they would describe their life as happy and boring; which they love, they enjoy not worrying about what's next or how they going to survive next week. Everything is exactly where they want it to be.

Episode three- The Dreamers

The Dreamer family starts off with Dareen, Darleen, and Dirk. But, after the awful kitchen fire at the Dreamer house, which Dareen blamed on Darleen and her awful cooking, the family started to drift. Darlene couldn't stand the constant fights and being blamed for the fire, so she spent more time at work. Dareen was always in a bad mood because of all his bills piling up and starting noticing his thoughts shifted to his caring friend Cassandra. When Dareen heard that Cassandra caught her fiancé cheating and ended their engagement, he couldn't help but wonder "what if?". Dirk spent most of his time at his girlfriend's, Lilith's house. Dirk would tutor her and vent about his troubles at home. After 4 awkward months Dareen decides to have a mature conversation with Darleen. They both agreed divorce was the best solution. Darleen moved out and focused on building her medical practice.

Dareen boosted up the courage to ask Cassandra out on a date and after 9 months of dating he popped the question and to his surprise, Cassandra said yes! Cassandra moved in and with her successful science career, Dareen was able to catch up on bills and focus on his art. Cassandra was definitely his muse, while she slept Dareen would paint beautifully crafted portraits of her. With her permission, Dareen started going around different art museums and seeing if any were interested in showcasing his art. Dareen got his big break at the Von Dough Gallery in Bluewater Village, they offered to show 4 of his artworks and they all sold, it's rumored that the very rich and famous town celebrity, Malcolm Landgraab, bought one for 450,000 Simoleons. Life was going great for Dareen, he was becoming a successful artist, had a beautiful fiancé, and his son Dirk got quite a few scholarships and was accepted to Sim State University. Dareen was so proud, they waited until Dirk finished his first year of school and when he visited home for the Summer, they had the wedding, at this point Dareen and Darleen were on good terms and she even attended the wedding. Dareen was happier than he ever felt and a few years later, during Dirk's junior year; Cassandra and Dareen announced they were having a baby girl. Daisy Goth Dreamer was one of Pleasantview's most prestigious babies. She definitely was spoiled from her successful parents and even her notorious grandparents Bella and Mortimer Goth. As Daisy grew from a toddler to a child, her love for soccer also grew and she would often practice with her brother Dirk and her uncle Alexander.

Darleen was at peace with her marriage ending and she truly did care for Dareen as a friend and was happy he found someone. She worked long hours as a doctor so she rarely saw friends or family. She mainly saw her mailman Sheldon Hanby as she was leaving for work each morning. The greetings started from casual waving and rapidly grew into small talk and eventually some flirting. He often crossed her mind while at work and she would blush about her little crush. After several months of flirtatious chatter she decided to be bold and invite him over her place for dinner. The two had a wonderful night and before leaving Sheldon gave her a compliment about the amazing pork chops she made for dinner. This is what won her over and what made her believe Sheldon would be the one. Years of insults about her food and being blamed for a fire that nearly killed her, almost made her give up; but here was a man that truly appreciated her cooking skills. Darleen and Sheldon dated for quite a while. She encouraged Sheldon to follow his dreams and join the police force. Once her son Dirk had been married and she finally felt like she didn't need to worry about anyone or focus on anything else, she agreed to marry Sheldon. They got married in a small intimate setting at home with just their loved ones. Darleen was finally content with her life and they agreed they didn't want children. Darleen's medical practice was going very well now that she hired Dustin Broke to help her run it. Sheldon quickly moved up in his career and was promoted to Police Chief. Most of the time the lovely couple was at home babysitting Darleen's grand-child Michael, or just cuddled up watching movies together.

Episode 2, Lilith and Angela Pleasant

Welcome back, hope you enjoy episode 2. This is going into both the lives of Lilith and Angela right after high school.

Both Lilith and Angela moved into the dorms at Sim State University, both of their boyfriends attended as well but moved to separate dorms so they could all have the freedom of experiencing college on their own. Lilith decided to keep her passion going and majored in Art while also teaching art classes on the side to make extra money. Angela decided to major in drama as she considered music to be her main passion at the moment. The girls were thriving in school and they managed to meet tons of friends, party hard with the sororities and fraternities, and stay on top of their grades. They were still dating their boyfriends, Dirk and Dustin from high school who were also having a great time. The girls passed their Freshman and Sophomore years with a 4.0 gpa, Lilith continued majoring in Art, but Angela decided to switch her focus to Literature as she became more into writing and hoped to one day write a novel. The beginning of junior year the girls decided they would move out of the dorms and move into campus housing with their boyfriends. Mary-Sue and Daniel helped out by sending the girls money for rent each semester.

The remaining college years flew by, and the girls graduated Summa Cum Laude with maintaining their 4.0 GPA. They were off into the real world. The girls wanted to stay close to their parents, especially now that their grand-parents had passed and Mary-Sue had became a bit lonely. Dirk and Dustin planned a romantic candlelight dinner at Londoste in Downtown the night before their move from the campus back to Pleasantview. Both of the boys were going to surprise their high school sweethearts with proposing. Of course, the girls said yes with no hesitation they've loved them since the beginning and wouldn't be were they are now without the love and support from them.

Lilith and Dirk-

Lilith knew exactly what she wanted and was able to plan her wedding within 6 months of being engaged. Lilith and Dirk wanted an intimate ceremony and got married in their lovely backyard with their close family and friends. Lilith got a job offer right after college from one of her professors to paint and sell her artwork at Deh'Javu Modern Art Museum in Downtown Pleasantview. She likes the freedom of staying home and painting while she can spend time with her dog, Max, and Ruby, her cat. She also has free-time to attend to the house chores; even though she trusts Dirk with all her heart, she's too traumatized from her dad's past to ever hire a maid. Dirk majored in Economics which got him a high paying job in Marketing. Dirk is the lead consultant for Hwang Motors and currently makes ads for Hunka 711 supercar. A year after being married Dirk and Lilith discuss if they're ready to start a family. At this point, Lilith's sister, Angela got married and the girls decide to do a joint honeymoon. Dirk and Lilith had to delay theirs because Dirk was spending a lot of time at work, but now that his projects are slowing down it was the perfect time and on top of that for some reason Dustin told them he would pay for the whole thing. A free vacation and they get to spend time with Angela and Dustin. So they planned their trip to Twikki Island one week after Angela and Dustin's wedding.

Angela and Dustin-

Since Angela's sister was getting married first she carefully took her time planning out the wedding. Dustin left it all to her, he wasn't very creative and already felt bad he had to rely on her parents to help pay for it, so he stayed far away from the wedding. They got married a year after being engaged at the Oasis Gardens, it was so lavish. During the last few months of planning Dustin actually got a job offer from Dirk's mom, Darleen, and has being working at her Doctor's office being her medical assistant. She even gave Dustin a holiday bonus, Dustin planned on using it toward the wedding but everything was paid off so he decided to pay for the full honeymoon they were planning with Dirk and Lilith.

Everybody enjoyed their relaxing vacation on the island, they met some locals, ate amazing tropical food, learned to hula and surf, and spent many hours laying out on the beach. They only spent 6 days there and unfortunately had to head back home and get back to reality. Two months after their vacation the girls met up for brunch at the One-Twenty-Five café to catch each other up on their busy lives and both girls had good news to share.... They both were pregnant! Looks like they both had some quality time with their husbands on the Island. With both girls working from home, they spent the full 9 months of pregnancy hanging out together and even had a joint baby shower with their friends and family. Their babies were born 3 days apart. Lilith went into labor first and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Michael Dreamer. Angela gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl, Harper. All the grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins came out to see the precious babies and they had a wonderful family reunion.

This is the current news for the Twins; and their stories will continue in season 2, the next generation. Stay tuned for episode 3 where we check in with the Dreamers, starting with Dareen Dreamer.

Episode 1, The Pleasants

Welcome to Episode 1 of Season 1 AKA generation 1 of the Pleasants.

As you may know, Mary-Sue and Daniel Pleasant are married with twin teen daughters Lilith and Angela. Lilith is more of a goth trouble maker and Angela is more preppy and popular. Mary-Sue and Daniel's marriage has been a bit rocky due to Daniel stepping out and cheating with multiple women including the town's promiscuous maid Kaylynn Langerak; Mary-Sue too busy to notice and focusing on building her political career to one day be a mayor of the town.

Mary-Sue discovers Daniel cheating after coming over early from a bad day at work; there he was in bed with their maid. She decides to take her daughters and parents on a well needed family vacation to get away from the drama and reflect on what to do about her marriage. She decides she wants to learn more about her roots and goes to Takemizu Village. At first Mary-Sue was worried about how this would make her parents feel since she was adopted and was afraid their feelings might be hurt. But, of course they love their daughter and were proud she wanted to learn about her culture and that she would include them on her journey. During the vacation Mary-Sue finds herself again and meets a wonderful local who shows her how to be free and fun and not to let work or anyone else consume her. She even enjoyed a romantic evening with the gentleman but knew it was only for the vacation and ultimately she would need time to herself before jumping into a relationship. But then to her surprise, the next day Daniel, shows up to the village with a little nudge from his teenager daughters with flowers and a heartfelt apology which makes Mary-Sue happy and conflicted. She decides to hear him out and he takes her out to a five star Asian cuisine restaurant followed by an amazing Ninja dancing show and after the dream date she decides to give her marriage a second chance. Daniel leaves the following morning and the rest of the family enjoy their vacation. Daniel cleans up his act and actually remains faithful, cutting off all ties to the other women and even stopped going to the strip club. Mary-Sue spent less time focusing on work, which actually paid off. Going with the flow got her the promotion and her marriage was better than ever. The teen daughters were even doing well.

Lilith hated seeing her mother so heartbroken but it actually made them bond more and even made Lilith give up her gothic ways. She started studying more bringing her grades up to an A+, being involved in more schools activities and even helping out around the house, it's probably due to the great influence her boyfriend Dirk Dreamer gave her. He would stay up all night with her talking about their family struggles and would even tutor her after school. Hearing Dirk talk about the divorce his parents went through made Lilith appreciate her family more and she even started spending more time with her sister Angela. They would hangout and go on double dates together. Sometimes they would just like to be in the same room together while Angela would learn a new song on her guitar or read a new novel, Lilith would paint portraits and still life using the new skills she learned from Dirk's dad, Dareen Dreamer.

Angela discovered more about herself on vacation as well. She was tired of always being the "perfect" one and loved the escape she would get by going to her boyfriend, Dustin Broke's house. She would help Dustin's mom out by cleaning, cooking, and babysitting while Brandi Broke would go to work to support the family-it's been a bit tough around their place while Skip Broke was still in a coma after his pool accident. Angela loved feeling needed at the Broke's place, but during her stay at the village she loved the alone time, exploring all the great things Takemizu had to offer. One night while wandering she found a local karaoke bar and played a song she had been working on and received amazing feedback, she even stumbled upon the love of plants while at the Zen Garden and built her own personal garden as soon as she got back from vacation. With her new hobbies, supportive boyfriend and even new friendship with her twin sister, Angela was loving life.

A year later the twins moved off to college after graduating high school with their high school sweethearts. Daniel and Mary-Sue were now empty nesters and loving their free-time. Mary-Sue even started having weekly lunches with her friends; Cassandra Goth and Brandi Broke. Daniel was pretty busy at work being the new Head coach of the super Llamas football team. Making Mary-sue feel a bit lonely at home; and even worse her mother Carol Oldie had died, all within two months after the twins went to college. Mary-Sue missed having someone to take care of so she and Daniel decided to adopt a dog; which couldn't have happened at a better time because just one week before the dog's arrival Mary-Sue's father Herb Oldie had also passed away. With her parents gone she was lonelier than ever and didn't feel like seeing or even talking to her friends, she stopped going to the lunches. But that cute and cuddly dog, Chester sure knew how to cheer her up. They would go on long walks around the town and she even started teaching him new tricks. She was slowly starting to feel like herself again. Life was going well for Mary-Sue and Daniel.
