hell like even if overall your grandmother had a very happy life they still faced these things! i have a lot of discussion with my nana (I’m going to see her tomorrow actually she’s awesome) and even though she's very happy with her life in general (obviously it’s not all sunshine and rainbows but I’m not doxxing my nana's life story lol) there’s still bullshit she had to go through that i would most likely never have to. even people who are happy with the direction their life took and who did a lot of things that were cool were still chained down by the oppression of society. even if grandma is happily married and was in a supportive environment full of people who loved her and treated her like a human being this doesn’t change the fact that legally she was denied rights by the government.
