Like a pastel dream.
Trying out a pastel background or two. Enjoy!
A supposed face shaped platform, in the Cydonia region, of Mars. Photo courtesy of NASA Voyager 1
One of Jupiter’s moons, Europa and it’s 200 foot (60 meter) Geysers made of liquid water, despite being 485 million miles (780 million kilometers) from the Sun. Photo courtesy of NASA Cassini.
20th background. Enjoy.
Took about a year long break, but I’m back for your background making needs.
A depiction of Saturn with its rings. Did you know: Saturn’s rings are made up of icy rocks that are essentially tons of tiny moons. Some of Saturn’s rocky rings have full sized, official, moons, as well as tiny, unofficial, “moons”. You could fit 764 Earths could fit inside Saturn and is 890,700,000 miles (1,433,000,000 km) from the Sun.
This is a reprocessed image of Jupiter’s Great Red Spot from the 1979 Voyager 1 encounter with the planet. Old data like this is being crunched by people like Bjorn Jonsson to create new and better detailed images that were not possible when the data sets were originally acquired. For comparison, just take a look at the “official” NASA release of the same image data from back in ‘79. I do need to begrudgingly note that the contrast and sharpness have been artificially exaggerated in this newer image for appearance.
This artist’s concept shows a simulated view from the surface of Jupiter’s moon Europa. Europa’s potentially rough, icy surface, tinged with reddish areas that scientists hope to learn more about, can be seen in the foreground. The giant planet Jupiter looms over the horizon. The Sombrero Galaxy is an unbarred spiral galaxy that gets it's name because of it's sombrero like shape.
Andromeda is a spiral galaxy, much like our Milk Way. It is also the closest galaxy to us. Andromeda is also expected to collide into the Milky Way galaxy in about 3.75 billion years and merge into an elliptical galaxy
The Antennae Galaxies are actually two galaxies that have been colliding into each other for about 600 million years.
The Pillars of Creation located at the heart of the Eagle Nebula.
