finished yesteryear, and it was very entertaining, but i expected it to be a little deeper? it turned out to be more of a thriller that requires so much suspension of disbelief. my specific personal favorite type of book though is books that explore womanhood, including the very real dark sides that most of us experience -- so this was too much of an over-the-top satire for my taste. also i can't tell whether the author wants us to hate natalie more than the male characters, or if her getting all the blame is meta commentary on misogyny. but it kind of felt like we were supposed to feel schadenfreude when she was humiliated, and i did not. the ending just made me sad.

i still have my issues but i’ve mostly gotten over the belief i had through college that i was fundamentally unlikable. and now i really wish i hadn’t thought that, bc i feel like i could’ve made more of my opportunities if i’d hated myself a lot less 😵‍💫 but oh well, can’t change the past. at least i still got a great GPA

needing an income is really taking away from my time to do anything meaningful with my life. but i’d still rather do this than move back in with my mom and be unemployed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ if i get into law school maybe i’ll take next summer off and just chill for a couple months before it starts. but i’m getting ahead of myself
