F2F: Trent | Grocery Run Ins
[A small amount of tension drained from Trent at the reassurance that he wouldn’t be intruding at all whenever it was that they hung out. The smile on his features trew at the thought of all the opportunities of places they could hang out, and he found himself honestly looking forward to it, despite it all. Time hadn’t changed anything between them, except maybe made Trent realize just how much he’d missed Mack as a friend and a person. Catching up together, and getting to hang out like they were planning, it would be perfect.]
[The question made Trent pause, reasonably certain he knew the answer but not wanting to say yes only to not mean it.] “Hold on a sec, lemme just…. [He trailed off, pulling out his phone and scrolling through the contact list of his phone until he found Mack’s number, which he rattled off.] “if that’s it, then yep, I’ve totally got your number. And mine hasn’t changed, so if you’ve got anything for me, that should be it. But yeah, I know what you mean. I liked Tumblr but it takes a lot of effort to keep up on that. And I’ve mostly just got a facebook for the family. So yeah, it’s definitely always a good thing to have another way.” [He smiled easily at Mack, tucking his phone back into his pocket] “Plus now, even if we can’t get together and hang out properly, we can still text and stuff. I mean, assuming we both remember- that doesn’t take a whole lot of time.”
[Mack nodded, waiting patiently as Trnet pulled out his phone to double check he had her number, smiling when he rattled it off.] “Yeah, that’s it!” [She answered, nodding when he said his hadn’t changed. She was fairly certain she still had his number, she wasn’t one to delete her contacts - but she pulled out her phone to double check she still had it, putting her phone away the moment she saw his name was in fact still there.] “I still have your number. I know what you mean about Facebook, I don’t even check mine anymore - I occasionally get emails about the notifications, or my mom texts me about tagging me on Facebook weeks ago and not checking it, but, otherwise I really don’t touch it.” She told him. “I tend to get back to my text messages fairly quickly, the only faster ways to reach me are calling or showing up on my doorstep.” She told him, “and if I forget, just spam my inbox, you’re allowed to, I don’t mind. I have unlimited texting anyway.”
