Let me start by saying it’s very unfortunate that Ma’Khia Bryant is no longer with us. However, the officer involved in the shooting did his job.

1. Stop saying the officer’s life wasn’t in danger. His job is to serve and protect! There was clearly another child who was in imminent danger. Was he not supposed to protect her?

2. The minute Ma’Khia grabbed that knife and proceeded to engage in a pursuit of the other girl, she no longer was a victim, but a participant in that fight and then the aggressor.

3. Cops are trained to shoot CENTER MASS, they are trained to shoot to incapacitate, until the threat is no longer present.

While Ma’Khia may have called the police because she was being harassed, she was a victim.. that is not the scene that the officer pulled up to.
