âThen I would agree that I have heard worse ones that Patience.âÂ
âNo joke, but thereâs one name worse than Patience when it comes to not having any: Chastity.â
âGabrielâs torturing her and Iâm the only one that can find her. If I go, the demons will take me right to them. If you go, theyâll kill you right off. If Paige or Phoebe or Piper goes, itâs 50/50 at best odds whether theyâll just be killed. He likes hurting people and I made sure he knows how to get at me. Iâm a Halliwell by blood and one they know how to hurt, one they know hurting will hurt Patience.â
Ray frowned and just pulled the other close. âYou fuckinâ come back to me if you can. You get her outta there and you come fuckinâ back to me if you can. If you canât come back, take as many of those fuckers down as you can.â
Endless List Of Favourite Pairings â Bobby Mercer & Jack Mercer (Four Brothers)
âJack, please. Come on, man. Come on, Jack, you gotta breathe! Donât you die on me, you little fairy. Come on, Jack. Please! You gotta fucking breathe! Come on! Jack! Jack. Jack, come on, Jack, please! Please⊠Jack.â
âThereâs a spell I found that can be used to force a scrying crystal into whatever position youâre in. I can use it to get Patience out.â
âAnd what? Your other sisters are just gonna let you go on a fuckinâ suicide mission? No. I ainât lettinâ you go either.â He gritted his teeth and furrowed his brow.
He took Rayâs hand and placed the chain necklace he always wore in the otherâs palm and closed his fingers. âWant you to have that.â
Ray furrowed his brow a little. âWhy? I donâ think Iâve ever seen you take it off. Pretty sure you were wearinâ it back when you were a kid.â
âRay, câmere. I got something for you.â
âWhatcha want?â he asked and headed into the bedroom, flopping down on the mattress beside Peter.
âOkay, I am out of here. Way too much information.âÂ
âVery good choice. See you later, kid.â
He laughed, âYea. Yea, Iâm good.âÂ
He chuckled and shook his head. âOkay, now skedaddle, I got plans for Pete and this desk and you canât be here."
William set the desk down gently. Taking a deep breath, he nodded, âNo problem. More than happy to help.âÂ
âYou doinâ alright, muscles?â
âSounds good.â He moved the desk slowly, making sure not to bang it or hit it against anything.
Ray maneuvered the desk into the office and over to the back wall, then set it down extremely gently. He grabbed the typewriter that was sitting on the floor and very, very carefully moved the couple piles of paper to the desktop, then grinned happily. âThanks, man, you rock.â
âWhat? My name?â
âYes?â
She chuckled, smiling. âI think she wouldnât be too surprised about it, honestly. Curse of naming a kid Patience, they will never have any.âÂ
He chuckled and shook his head. ââWell, itâs better than some Iâve heard.â
âAlright.â He waited for Ray to grab the other end of the desk before he lifted his. Ray hadnât been joking, it was heavy, but Will could handle it. âWell, good newsâŠitâs a solid piece of furniture.âÂ
âI know, thatâs why I bought it. Itâs going in the room across from the guest room downstairs.â He headed into the house slowly.
Will snorted, climbing out of truck and hopping into the bed. âAlright.âÂ
âAlright, lemme grab this end, then lift it out. Donât scoot it, youâll screw up the feet.â He grabbed the end of the desk, covered in a tarp so it didnât get scuffed on the drive, and lifted so Will could grab the other end.
âI know. Iâm just not all that great when it comes to understanding people. Iâve had issues with it since I was a kid, and it hasnât gotten better as I got older.â She gave him a smile, âGonna have to tell you the same thing I told my grandmother, not my virtue.âÂ
He just chuckled and shook his head. âYouâre a hell of a lot better at it than I am, trust me.â He laughed at the comment about her grandmother. âIâm sure she woulda loved knowing youâre still hearing it.â
âWell, I have no intention of hurting her.âÂ
âBetter not.â He pulled into the driveway to his and Peterâs place and hopped out. âCâmon, letâs see them guns, big guy.â He popped open the tail gate and motioned for William to get in the bed of the truck.
âI know he doesnât. Iâm the weird twin he didnât know he had. But I think he really cares about you, Ray. And I think heâd be willing to try to deal with it for you.âÂ
âHe cares about you, too, Patience, but kids that have gone through what heâs gone through hurt for a long time, makes it hard to show people they care. Hell, Iâm only kinda starting to be okay and I been out six years longer than he has. Just... have patience, Patience,â he said with a smirk.
