It had been fairly obvious that Sean wasn’t exactly happy to see him. It wasn’t a surprise, but was enough send a shiver of discomfort quickly down his spine. Covering with a pleasant shrug, he didn’t let the tense air in the room ruin his plan or his mood. If anything, the finely covered surprise in Sean’s tone should he enough to feed his ego for the day. And especially in his place of work, the ball was surely in Johnny’s court.
“Don’t like compliments anymore? Or is it because I’m not showing enough of the goods?” he shot a wink towards the other man with a short laugh following his words. “Why don’t you surprise me? Especially if it’s something you’re brewing up.”
“Surprise, it is-” He triumphantly agreed, as in, go along with the game. The others that were listening in had gotten a laugh or two out of the ongoing conversation. He and Johnny had tension, but it wasn’t obvious. At least, not to a bunch of other people trying to get their night started, in a bar full of dancers. “On the house.” Sean challenged, as he served up the drink looking for any suspicion in his brother’s eyes. He was sure Johnny had watched his every move, just incase he were attempting to put something in the drink, which he hadn’t. But, it’d be nice to know where he stood, and how careful Johnny was being. With the show was starting up, they were granted a little more privacy.
