Hello! My name is Sparrow, I use he/him pronouns. I'm 22 years old, I'm a trans, gay man and poly. :>

I have been generally pagan since 2019ish. I have usually focused on celtic practices and dabbled in worship of Brigid on and off.

I currently worship Lord Morpheus (since Nov 2025) from Hellenic Polytheism <3

I'm very open to connect with other worshipers of Morpheus or anyone else who worship the similar sleep gods! Of course it goes without saying that I respect and honour all the other Gods.

Looking for faith and not finding it~

This is going to be about my journey with Apollo. Long story short, I tried to worship him and felt very little connection.

Apollo is the god of light, music, poetry, prophecy, healing and in some cases, wolves.

In April, I decided to begin worshipping Apollo. The sun was coming back, the days were slowly getting warmer and I wanted to revel in it. Morpheus (my main god of worship) got me through winter. I thought maybe Apollo could be my summer worship.

I'm sure some might think its strange that I consider some gods my 'winter gods', but I always find myself more active in my religion in winter time. Most likely because I need the extra support to get through it. But also, many aspects of Morpheus remind me of winter. The night sky, the rain and snow, the turning inward and time of reflection.

Anyway, Apollo also has some links to wolves. I identify as a therian and as a Wolf. I thought it would make sense to worship the god of wolves. Even writing this now, I feel some regret in not doing more I suppose.

But basically, it seemed like all the bits were there. Music is a huge part of my practice, I worship the sun, I identify as a wolf. But when I actually looked for that connection, like I had with Morpheus, it was very fleeting and then absent. I would search for his energy, and he would either not be there or someone else would be there instead.

I had one meditation where I felt connected. He was there, we were together, I could feel him. But even then, it didn't feel fully there. And then after that, he wasn't there.

Summer is growing closer to its end and I feel that I have not grown closer to Apollo. If anything, things are more distant. My altar is unused and feels outdated.

I do not think it is of anyones doing, I just think perhaps it is not now and not here. Or perhaps there is another god who would be better suited for my worship. I don't know.

I wanted to share this as it was surprising to me to feel close to nothing. With Morpheus, I could feel him everywhere. I can still reach out and feel him, call upon him, meditate with him. Even with Brigid, I could feel something. With Apollo, its like I have the wrong number.

My blog will continue to be a Morpheus worshipping blog for the time being.

I've been dreaming so much lately, feels like Morpheus is close <3

Thinking about trying to incorporate some daily practice in again, I fall out so easily. I go easy on myself tho, as I always know that I will return. Any suggestions for easy daily practices would be greatly appreciated!

Apollon/Apollo is truly a fascinating deity. Everyone knows his light side; his association with light and the sun. He is indeed a being of light but light is not always gentle. Think of the sun's rays; are they always gentle? Are they always warm and welcoming?

Apollo is both the life giving warmth and the sun and scorching desert sun. Apollo protects us but he also strikes us down.

A lot of Apollo's darker epithets fascinate me. He is a healer but also the bringer of disease. He is the protector of youth (particularly of young men) and when young men die suddenly he is said to be the cause.

He has associations with death and the dead; he is not a psychopomp but he is more associated with the rituals of the dead. Making sure the dead get burial rites or protecting the deceased's bodies.

He is also called wolf-god. When you think of wolves what do you think of? You think of a wolf pack most likely. Loyalty, family, protection.

But think of how fierce wolves are; how farmers fear them. I see Apollo embodying both that loyalty and protection but also that fierce, primal fear that wolves incite in people.

He is endlessly fascinating; he is a being of duality just as much as any other deity. I honor his light aspects as well as his dark ones.

The Altar of Apollo

"Deep in the woods, in a meadow, I hear the lord's voice. He plays, he sings. He dances with me and plays with me. We run in the woods and roll in the grass. The clearing in the gateway to a great pillared temple. It's quaint but welcoming. Warm, ever warm in the lord's presence. With him, I feel as though I am with my kin. Apollo, lord of the Sun and Wolf."

Old Mother Redcap's "Star Sweeper" Calming Sleep Spell

This spell is designed to induce a calming and relaxing nights rest.  Items needed: - 2 equal rectangular sized pieces of muslin or cotton to make a small pillow (about half the size of your pillow) - Chamomile  - Vanilla essence - Dried lavender - Cotton balls - Starry glitter/confetti  - Needle and thread Method: Start but sewing together your small dream pillow, turning right side out and leaving one seam open to fill it.  Fill your pillow with handfuls of lavender and chamomile. Place a handful of cotton balls into a bowl, and add drops of the vanilla essence - just enough that the scent is not overpowering, then add them into the pillow.  Your pillow should be fairly full at this point. Run your fingers through the starry glitter or confetti whilst visualising floating through the sky. Add them into your pillow and sew it shut making sure there are no leaks. Now, decorate your pillow by embroidering stars and a moon. If you’re not good at embroidery, you can cut out pieces of felt and sew them on. When you go to bed, close your eyes and trace your fingers over the stars, visualising your body floating in the sky and relaxing all of your muscles. Place the pillow near or under your normal pillow and breathe in the scent and feel how it relaxes you.  Whenever you’re feeling restless, trace your fingers over the stars and let it take you to a calming place.

Magic for your pets ₊˚⊹♡

I haven't seen much in the way of magic for our animal companions on this site. Our pets are our family, and there's a lot you can do for them in the way of magic. Consider this post inspiration to incorporate into your own preferred style of magic.

* Remember that spiritual health and physical health go hand in hand. Take your pets to the vet! * if you're someone who uses a lot of oils and herbs, please be careful with your pets! Smoke as well as many popular herbs are irritants at best, toxic at worst. Do not feed or apply to their skin anything that could harm them, and be careful with lingering scents! I recommend energy work instead of ingredient based magic when working with animals.

Incorporate magic into your pet's wash routine. It can be as simple as using a cleansing energy in combination with a bath or brush, or you can combine different intent for different parts of the process- for example, cleansing and washing away stale or negative energy during their bath, then brushing positive protective energy into their fur when you comb them down as if weaving it into their coat. For pets like birds you can easily imbue the water you provide as a bath with a similar energy and let them do the work. Animals that dust bathe can follow the same process.

Charm/Enchant/Imbue your pet's items. Harnesses, collars, halters, beds, toys, etc... Anything your pet uses can be elevated to a magic item or have a spell container attached to it (if it's safe!). Protection spells on the items they wear to keep them from harm, a cleansing restful energy on their beds to promote health and healing, an energy of joy and good prosperity to their toys, etc... If you're someone who walks your pet or otherwise has people come up and bother them when you'd rather they don't you can add a ward as well to discourage attention and bothersome company.

Ward their cages, terrariums, and kennels. Similar to the last point you can add a protective warding spell to their homes. This is especially useful for smaller pets that spend most if not all of their time in a terrarium or cage. For kennels, you can promote a space of safety and protection for your pet to retreat to if they feel frightened. Essentially what a kennel for a dog should be, but with a magical energy for that extra bit of help. Nurturing a space of calm can assist crate-anxious pets alongside other desensitization training.

Imbue their food with healing energy. Promote health, prosperity, and stability through their food. Similar in concept to food magic for humans but for our pets. As stated above, never add anything unsafe to your pets food. Work with energy only.

And of course, simply place a spell on your pet directly. However you like to cast spells onto individuals best can be done with your pet as well. Pure energy work, your own ritual, a contained spell in your home, a sigil, etc... Use what you're comfortable with!

This one's a little different than the others- but something I like to do is simply hold or pet my animal and whisper in my mind how much I adore them, projecting the energy of my love gently at them in the hopes they will feel it. We don't understand animal minds fully, and I can't know for sure if they feel it- and if they do, if they understand it- but on the off chance they do in their own way, I do it anyway. :]

If this isn't a topic you've thought of much you may also be wondering what exactly the protection on our animals is for. I consider it a precaution towards negative energy- pesky spirits that may harass our animals for amusement or negativity from other bitter humans, as well as protection from physical harm. Think about what you want to build a ward against in your own time, and make these suggestions your own.

MORPHEUS in pair with HYPNOS worship arguments (a personal rant) + Personally written Prayer

So lately i realized that worshipping one without another makes no sense. You want to have good dreams but not a restful sleep? Or you want a restful sleep but with all weird dreams and nightmares? Also they are such nice and great comforting gods both of them.

I think it like this:

"Hear Lord Hypnos, God of sweet slumber that gives life and healing rest that elevates strength and energy,

Please rest my ever tired eyelids, and protect my ears from distracting noise,

Lay my aching body to rest, give peace to my ever racing mind so that it may stop for a moment and rest,

Make so that I might lay down and fall into the deepest sleep, so deep that it takes me to where I can meet You and Your wonderful Son Morpheus.

Upon the Gates of Darkness, a sanctuary of profound rest where no light or sound enters, and none shall be disturbed,

Allow me to rest my head in your fields of poppies as sleep draws near,

Hear Lord Morpheus, God of Dreams, Greatest among the Oneiroi,

Make so that my dreams are sweet, ever insightful visions about your truth,

Protect me sweet God of Dreams that feel so real and so true,
