“You’re not gonna say anything?” Steve asks.

Bucky just stares, taking him in. The lighting in this place was making Steve look sinful and his mind was going to much dirtier places. Images of Steve under him, writhing in pleasure, his mouth parted, cheeks flushed and hair mussed flash through his mind.

“Bucky,” Steve says, brows furrowing.

Bucky leans back against the chair, sipping his drink.

Steve shifts under the intense gaze.

“You’re making me feel uncomfortable…”

Bucky chuckles, dark and low and a shiver runs down Steve’s spine.

“Buck,” he whispers.

“Yeah, baby?” He finally says.

Steve licks his lips and the deep tone of his voice.

“Why are you just staring at me like that?”

“I’m not allowed to take in the beauty of you in this place?” He asks.

Steve flushes. “Dammit, Bucky, you can’t say stuff like that.”

“Let’s skip that second bottle. I’ve got one at home.”

I just want marvel to know it’s not too late (it’s literally never too late) to reveal that endgame steve rogers was an imposter (a skrull, hydra, etc)

But can you imagine, stucky version. The reason, because he wanted to destroy Bucky, wanted to hurt him. Wanted him to feel abandoned so that by some little miracle Bucky lets himself go enough that they could neutralize him because they know how dangerous he can truly be if he wasn't hunched over himself over the fact that his *best friend* left him.

Or the fact that Steve came back old to make seem like an "emotional closure" to his friends that he lived a life, he’s not returning, he’s passing the torch. But it’s all a carefully constructed performance—intended to ensure no one comes looking for the real Steve.

And Bucky's just stuck in his head that his best friend abandoned him for the past, leaving him to deal with the future all alone.

There's probably already a fic out there like this tbh.
