when will just remembered his first meeting with mike and then when he came out of that trance one of the first things he got to see was that same boy running towards him with so much pride and so much gratitude that he got to believe just for a second that mike loved him just as much

and then you can see how the lights go out and his face shifts and suddenly it's real life and his mother is standing there and vecna took the kids and the boy in front of him is not the boy from the swings anymore

except mike did love him
