Tonight I went and saw Sing Sing. It was incredible. It was so bright and sad and lovely, and it spoke truth about art and freedom and expression and emotion. I loved every minute of it. So far, it's my favorite movie of 2024.

Why do we strive for idealogical black and whiteness when the real world does not mirror this as an example. Where did we get that idea?

I had a nightmare about Pete Davidson last night. In my dream, he moved into my house, into the room across from mine upstairs. He would unlock my door while I was asleep or when I was changing and walk in. I would scream at him, and he kept thinking it wasn’t a big deal and kept doing it. He called me a bitch and got my downstairs roommate to start doing the same thing. I just kept screaming and screaming, holding a towel over myself when they walked in while I was changing, and they kept telling me they don’t know why I’m being so dramatic.

I feel like I’ve been braver this year. And it’s yielded positive results.

I’ve moved away from home.

I’ve moved states.

I’ve started paying my own rent.

I’ve taken a chance with a low paying program for the experience of it.

I drove across the country by myself.

I’ve worked really hard and long hours with Paul learning a new trade, installing floors and cabinets.

I’ve worked 2 jobs at once to support myself.

I apparently design flowers now.

All of these new things and I’m alive and none of my plants have died yet and I’m happy that I can continue on being. I’m learning how to be on my own. I’m learning who I am apart from where I’ve grown up. This is so valuable. This is so good.
