I have feared imagining myself as a parent for so long because of my own childhood. Recently I have seen parents who have fun with their kid and are sweet and gentle that makes something in my heart want me to be that figure for a kid as well. Kids at my work with their parents having fun at the mall and letting them pick out the candy they want, gently showing them how to do something and the kid is happy and excited.

but we still fall in love again and again because even though it can lead to heartbreak and pain, love carries us through life and it makes the world turn. We wouldnt be here without love or even hate ☯️
When you fall in love you are risking everything and it’s brave to allow yourself to do it. It doesn’t have to be romantic; you fall in love with the people you meet, or mountains, lakes, houses, concepts, hobbies, music. Even if the song is overplayed and gets old, even if you move away from everything, even if you cant participate in your hobby because you are too busy, even if you grow older and you don’t like any of the same things you used to like. The love was there and you can revisit it another time, just not now. It all hurts so badly and is often out of your control. So you fall in love again and will eventually think about it less, but someday you will be reminded and find that spark in your heart again.

Why cant people just tell me the truth?? I feel like everyone is always avoiding telling me they cant hang out or why so I just get my hopes up and then see what theyre actually doing and wonder why they just didnt tell me that in the first place. It hurts more after that instead of just being told that theyre busy and why😓
