When you can actually see the self love manifesting💖✨
Lately I’ve been all about love work. There’s so much going on in my life and it’s so quick to get caught up in the stress of it all. Self love magic lets me indulge in my favorite things while honoring the physical altar my Ancestors gifted me. The incredible warmth of their love gives me the courage to love myself and push past all the ways I was taught to limit myself. I’ve been learning to trust myself and the results are so rewarding and feel so good. Here’s a quick working for self love that has been my go to lately.
🌹Rose and Sweet Milk rinse🌹
~I do this when I don’t have the time for a full bath or have access to a tub. Modified from my bf’s white magic spell, this is done on a Friday (and fridays are great for promoting and attracting positive relationships into ones life)~
In a pot over low to medium heat combine:
•And crushed sorrel! Sorrel, a type of hibiscus, is a staple in a Caribbean household. Not only does it taste really good, it’s got deep beautiful color when made, and has many medicinal values. I use sorrel to draw in love, joy, and good health.
I heat this until it’s a bit warm and has nice color from the rose and sorrel, then I add honey 🍯
I pour it out into a cleansed vessel (I use a Our Lady of Guadalupe 7 day glass from a past self love working) and carve my name into three candles. I’ve seen pink candles used but I use red votive candles because a pack of four is a dollar at dollar tree and they smell like apple cinnamon 😋 I light and place my candles in the shower and put my vessel in a safe spot.
While showering, I repeat positive affirmations to myself. I am intelligent, I am charming, I am strong, and I have the ability to handle whatever life throws at me with confidence and grace. I am the embodiment of my Ancestors, I am their determination, I am their wit, I am their beauty and I reflect the spirits of the honorable and highly favored. 🙌🏾
When I’m finished, I take the glass vessel and pray the petition on the back. I say my own prayer while swirling the mixture and then I pour it on myself, making sure it hits the back of my neck and chest especially. Then I AIR DRY; no toweling off! It’ll just rub off the work 😞
