Unpopular opinion time, but maybe the reason we’re seeing a decline in the severity of trans people’s dysphoria is because there’s been an increase in trans representation and the visibility of trans bodies, and it’s helping shape a healthier expectation and understanding of what it means to be a [insert gender here].

Like, not to talk about my junk, but my bottom dysphoria was ridiculous before I was exposed to images of men who looked like me, and now it’s kinda… become a less essential component of my transition and my security in my identity as a man, you feel? And even seeing trans women kind of helped disconnect those parts from masculinity in my brain in a way that’s made it easier to accept what I’ve got going on.

I mean, I still have debilitating dysphoria about a lot, I’d say most, aspects of my body on most days, but every time I see, like, a cool dude chillin’ with no binder on, there’s a little part of me that remembers there’s no right or wrong way to be a man and that I don’t have to constantly compare myself to cis guys.

Hey remember when US and Russia was all like “We’re the best!!! We’ve won the space race!!!!” But India sent a kick-ass space probe to Mars and the whole mission was fuel efficient, costed less and a roaring success in the first try and then they were like “…..wait no that can’t be true” and still have the audacity to call us “underdeveloped” or only view us as a ‘third world country’? :)

this is gonna be controversial (lol), but y’all gotta remember blogs aren’t celebrities with their own PR teams.

if you find something a blogger said insensitive, it probably is! privilege & social environment leave way too many blindspots for that to never happen. and it’s super okay to alert people to their blindspots! but do so with the awareness that those not used to having their speech policed by strangers may respond with baffled defensiveness if you come at them aggressively.

Bloggers have slowly shifted from ordinary people just goofing around and having fun on the internet to being held up as sort of low level public figures, but without any media training or assistance to manage that load.

And it’s a really weird transition because you can’t just talk to one friend publicly on your blog any more, you’re talking to one friend and thousands of people, and potentially thousands more which might go through your backlog in the future.

why laveyans are wrong about satanism

laveyan satanism – an organization which advocates for division between church and state, freedom from religion, and is against religious extremism. sometimes atheistic, sometimes worships mankind as gods.

if you take a look through the church of satan’s twitter, you’ll probably come across their claims that “theistic satanism is an oxymoron”. 

every day, i see laveyans claim that “devil worshipers” (who i will be calling satanists from now on in this post for simplicity’s sake, though not all people who worship the devil are referred to as satanists – and laveyan satanists will be referred to as “laveyans”) are inherently evil or are morally corrupt. they believe that we support abuse and violence. this is absolutely not the case.

ask any satanist, and they will tell you: we do NOT support harm to others.

personally, i’ve found that a great number of laveyans are very hypocritical. one of their main goals is to call out christians and other religious people’s conceit. however, when i come across a laveyan, nine times out of ten, they are just as disrespectful to religious people as the people they supposedly oppose. 

this isn’t to say that all laveyans are bad people. i’m simply attempting to call out the hypocrisy in their actions. 

they also like to claim that satanism inherently implies laveyan satanism. this, in my opinion, is extremely disrespectful to theistic satanists. it is the erasure of a religion. 

things satanists are:

followers of satan/lucifer

things satanists are not:

christians (christian as a term implies the worship of yahweh, and while some satanists believe in yahweh, we are very obviously against his teachings and reject the term christian for this reason)

abusers (satan/lucifer does not support the harm of human beings, and we do not need to be told not to hurt people. we have our own moral compasses)

immoral (as i said before, the reason many satanists worship satan/lucifer is because we disagree with the morality of yahweh. we are just as moral as anyone else)

animal killers (we don’t sacrifice live animals. thanks)

Hello my fellow peoples with DID/OSDD,

Here’s a quick note to let y’all know that it’s perfectly fine to not know who you are at any given moment. It’s okay and normal to not know the specific role, function, or actions of parts. To feel like a vague blob consisting of different parts. To have long, slow switches - or just long periods of time where you’re somewhere in between different alters all the time. It’s all normal.

It’s perfectly fine to not have the energy, mental capacity, or peace of mind to figure out who you are, or what your system looks like. I’ve been postponing figuring out what the system looks like right now for weeks - I know we discovered some new parts, but have not been able to bring myself to make a clear list or whatever. All I know is we’re somewhere between probably 12 and 15 parts. I’ll figure it out at some point, right now I just… can’t. And that’s okay.

Yesterday I spent like 98% of the day not knowing who I was. At best I could guess “I think X is involved here, maybe Y and Z too”. I don’t think I have alters that have specific jobs (e.g. cooking, personal hygiene) and that’s okay too.

Obviously, the opposite is totally fine and valid too, but that’s not what this post is about. This is to remind everyone (and myself too) that it’s okay, normal, and valid to have unclear, long, vague switches and/or periods of time where it’s just impossible to distinguish between parts. It’s okay. Don’t worry.
