just saw an ai generated fan drawing of some famous manga characters and like genuinely, if it hadn't been tagged as ai, I wouldn't have even know.

On my 1,000th reread of The Raven King, and I just realized that during the first Fox vs Raven game, the starting Raven defense line is Jean and Grayson marking Kevin and Neil. It's Grayson that gives Neil a bloody nose and then gets carded at the end of the first half. It's against Grayson and Jean that Neil pulls off that Raven precision move of passing to Kevin off the rebound, allowing Kevin to score the first Fox goal of the night.

I can't imagine how Jean felt, playing against Kevin for the first time as an opponent, forced to work with the man that assaulted him and harassed him for years, and seeing Neil, his lost forever partner, execute perfect Raven synchrony with Kevin, the boy who Jean loved, who escaped and left Jean to suffer the consequences alone.
