Phew! What a crazy time that was! Thank you to every single author and artist who stepped up and provided their A-game to this wonderful little ship of ours. Even more thanks to those of you who stepped in as pinch hits when we found ourselves stuck in a bit of a bind. You truly saved us!

We had our ups and our downs but there’s no denying the fact that you guys provided some really, really amazing content. Like we’ve said before, we were absolutely floored by the turnout. I’m still not over it, to be frank. And we certainly learned a lot about what it takes to run a major event like this and hope to put our knowledge to good use in future events.

…speaking of! Our next event is going to be a little bit different and a lot more relaxed. This time we’re going for a Reverse Big Bang. Art comes first, fic comes later!

We’ll have a post up with more details very soon, but if you’re an artist and are considering participating it’s time to put your thinking caps on!

Hi! Is the Big Bang completely over? how is your next project going?? ((: thank you

The big bang is completely over! We’ve been meaning to make a wrap-up post, but things ended up going a bit over deadline and then we both had a bit of a whirlwind of real life stuff going on. We’ll try to get on that this week. :)

That being said, if you notice that we missed reblogging your art and/or fic, please shoot us an ask so we can make sure to take care of that ASAP.

As for the next event, we’ll be posting about that in late June. Keep your eyes peeled!

Sorry about this taking so long. I was going to do three pictures, but since the Big Bang needs to be wrapped up one will have to do.

(Seriously, this story is amazing and written by thrandythefabulous. If you haven’t read it yet, go do it now. It’s a long read, but it’s well worth it.)

A moping, lonely Thranduil annoys the living hell out of Legolas and Elrond. Enter Bard Bowman, a stripper secretely hired for a party just for Thranduil. After the party’s over, it seems that they will never see each other again. Of course, an ill-timed departure from Bard’s shipyard brings them together again, in a stopped elevator of all things.

Barduil Big Bang: We’re looking for a couple artists!

Hey guys! We’re so close to the finish line here. Just a handful of stories left to go! Unfortunately one of our artists has seemingly dropped out of contact with a couple of authors. We’re giving them until the end of the week to get back to us but, just in case, we’d like to see if there is anyone out there who’d be willing to draw for one or two fics?

Shoot us an ask if you’d be willing! You’d be helping us out greatly!

We’re actually waiting until this Big Bang is completely over before we move on to the next event… we’ve still got a few stragglers we’re waiting on to post their fic/art.

As soon as we have anything concrete, we’ll let you guys know!

Normally Thranduil–a renowned tattoo artist–only has to worry about finishing his commissions and twisting Thorin’s arm into turning in the rent on time.  But a couple of weeks ago, Erebor suspiciously caught fire and Smaug broke his lease in a hurry to distance himself from Thranduil’s bad luck.  And now?  The only person interested in setting up shop between a dive bar and a tattoo studio is a florist.  An attractive florist, maybe, but Thranduil has a reputation to maintain.

Art for angstyourwayin‘s Barduil Big Bang fic, Song for Someone!

It’s a shock to hear Thranduil will stop coaching the Woodland Realm team, but a greater shock still to learn he’ll be coaching the Esgaroth team, Bard’s team, instead. His motives are unknown, and even if Bard insists his interest is strictly based on reasons related to his team, he finds he can’t keep away from Thranduil. It’s hard, though, what with his all his flirting and his mixed signals. To understand him is one of the most difficult problems Bard has ever encountered, for ever since the accident that destroyed Thranduil’s promising career, he hasn’t let anyone close.

Okay so now you will absolutely want to go read this fic because the story is excellent and the emotion and tension is so believable and will get you pumped and the pacing is fucking fantastic basically do yourself a favor and read it <3
