so this has mutated into a wrestling blog (AEW) pretty much, but I also just post about whatever I feel like. my other fav things are pulp and star trek, so expect those sometimes too!
Making a presentation on queerness in wrestling but finding it hard to find examples of queer-coded storylines/characters involving women in the 20th century
I’m especially interested in examples related to lucha libre and joshi puroresu (or just outside of America honestly) but of course those have been even harder to find
I’m ready to give up hope and accept I won’t really find anything, but before I do, I’m trying to see if ANYBODY has even a little bit of info on this subject…?
at work and i just witnessed ~7 people in 10 minutes all walk past two signs that say ‘no alcohol until 5pm’ just to go ask the bar for alcohol. i’m sure at least ONE of them is able to read. good god
no censoring pisses me off more than ‘unalived themselves’ or ‘unalive’ in general. mostly because it isn’t even about being family friendly, it’s purely a advertiser friendly thing.
i honestly think it’s so fucking stupid and disrespectful to treat it like such an unmentionable/family unfriendly subject, especially when families, DO have to experience losing people that way (like mine!!). if anybody ever seriously genuinely describes my relative as unaliving himself i will have to hold myself back from punching them
I just finished reading Project Hail Mary for the first time and OHHH my god. I have to see the film now. I NEED to know how they adapt it
I honestly don’t really read much anymore, but I told my brother I’d read it before the film came out wayy back when it was announced and never did. Anyway, I just tore through it in the past few days and I LOVED it so much
Whenever I wasn’t reading it I was thinking about when I could go back to reading. I honestly think this might get me back into books, a book hasn’t made me feel this many emotions since I was like 12
