okay so this was during one of the first horn solos, where the three guys in the horn section got to really show off their stuff. linnell and flans were kinda just, watching, not doing anything. linnell was straight faced and seemed like he was spacing out. flans just had this joyous smile on his face. it killed me he was doing it for like 30 seconds (happy bday flans!)

At long last, this piece is finished! I started it a few weeks ago, and I've been chipping away at it on and off for quite some time. The lineart was definitely the most frustrating part, but I quite enjoyed the rendering process at the end. This is my largest Bellburrow piece to date, and to be honest, I'm really happy with the end result!

Since Benjamin has a bell for a head, which is more than likely made of actual brass, I imagine that he needs to get it polished/buffed regularly in order to keep it nice and shiny. Of course, Gretchen is more than happy to take the time to do that for him—she loves to ensure that he's happy and well-cared for, after all! So Benjamin allows her to do so once they become more comfortable with one another during dating.

Gretchen sources her metal polish from brass instrument shops in Mezzo Melodyland, ensuring that it's high-quality and safe to use on Benjamin. And once she gets to work, she won't rest until every inch of that bell head is sparkling. Meanwhile, Ben gets to relax and enjoy the attention. 💚💕✨
