i hope you don’t mind me adding your tags to the post but this is another huge aspect, so many sex workers struggle to protect the money they do make if it isn’t just cash, and many things such as renting or getting a car will require you to prove your income in a way that will put sex workers in a uncomfortable if not dangerous position, unless you find people who are okay with taking cash for everything securing housing and transportation or getting approved for loans for continuing education hell just forming a credit score etc etc become a whole other beast, and these things typically are necessary for stability in your life, and financial institutions have more rights than sex workers in these instances bc they legally can take away access to money entirely if they don’t trust you, or worse flag your activity to the authorities, we have to talk about this stuff with honesty or we will never fight it meaningfully

They don't have much in savings right now, last time Nader reported for living expenses such as rent/etc (extremely high and not fixed) is only a little over $10k, and this is dwindling because of gaps in donations.

That might sound like a lot, but it's absolutely not. If I had $10k, with the price of living so high I could survive about 6 months in my city before running out of money for rent and groceries, I didn't even factor my utilities.

Imagine a city that has been for the most part cut from the outside world. Resources are limited and the money is draining fast. If you're working class with a job, think about how hard it is for you to save money in an economy that may be suffering but isn't being strangled.

It's almost impossible to get ahead. And to get out is hundreds of thousands with his family members and father's medical expenses.
