Wear a mask, cover any tattoos, and don't wear clothing with recognizable logos or branding. Don't take pictures of yourself or others. Don't talk to cops.
Protests aren't a fun event to post about on social media, we are trying to make an real change. Be safe and responsible
Some other notes:
- Get the cheap burner phone around the place where the protest is held, or at least away from where you live. Investigators can track the location from the phone’s signal, and some phones might let out a signal even when turned off. Better to play it safe
- Don’t activate the burner phone next to your other devices. If investigators see two phone signals in close proximity to one another, they can connect you to that burner phone
- Don’t make purchases with a card, use cash. Cards can be traced back to you
- Discard the burner phone away from your home and your devices. Again, you don’t want your personal device’s signal to the burner
