New music - 2026

made a new entry for rpmchallenge.com, a 5 song instrumental EP.

These instrumentals are simple ideas/grooves I started with on my phone; bored while traveling on planes and trains, post-dinner lounging in my arm chair or sometimes just hanging out in the bathroom. After some song/track arranging in the first week of February, I recorded the drums in my parent’s attic (when it was 10 degrees out - thanks Dad for setting up a space heater) and then finished up with bass/keys and percussion in my apartment in Rhode Island.

I realized that I haven't posted anything since before COVID.

Wet Leather put out a mixtape in 2021. In 2020 We recorded drums at our practice space and the empty apartment that Matt and Jason were moving out of. These were the first recordings we made that weren't done in a studio. It let us try new ideas without the pressure of time constraints or any expectation pop bangers. I got to play a lot of bass on this album.

I made a video for the track "Given Time":

In the fall of that year we also went to a studio in an old church in West Springfield, MA.

There we recorded a handful of tracks.

We released a single from that one in 2022:

COVID kind of changed up the musical landscape in NYC and we cut down the amount of shows we played 99%. We had 2 shows in 2021, both outdoors (one was just me and Matt).

In 2022 I moved to Rhode Island after 11 years in NYC and Matt moved back to Los Angeles. With Jason holding down Brooklyn we managed to play 2 Brooklyn shows plus an LA show.

We still have plenty of music left to put out in 2023!

I told my friends that I wanted to make an album for my bachelor party so they gathered the gear, rented a house and we did that.

In asking everyone to come prepared with one idea, we arrived at 6 fun songs created through friends of (mostly) the 3 different bands I've been in since I met my wife.
