Bucky's MCU future.

We all know that Chris Evans has 6 Marvel movies on his contract and that Sebastian Stan has 9 Marvel movies (I’m on mobile so I can’t source).

Chris has 3 of those left - or, rather, he has one completely mysterious. He did CA:TFA, The Avengers and CA:TWS. He has now done A:AoU and is up for CA:CW, which will leave him with one more movie contract to cash into.

Now, knowing that Sebastian has nine - 7 of those left when you take CA:TFA and CA:TWS away - and knowing Marvel’s movie lineup it’s probably safe to assume that Sebastian might replace Chris as Captain America as it was in the comics. Cap dies in the Civil War storyline (but not really), so it would make sense.

The 7 movies Bucky could be a part of would be anything in phase 3, like CA:CW, Doctor Strange, GotG2, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: IW1, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Avengers:IW2 or Inhumans.

That’s a list of 9 movies, in which we could potentially see Mr. Stan as either the Winter Soldier turned good or possibly taking up the good Captain’s Shield.

Now, we need to cash in om Chris Evans’ apparent last outing as Cap, and I would be willing to bet that will be Avengers:IW2, to face off the bad guys in a last memorable fight.

I might be wrong. Maybe Marvel will change the lineup again. Add more movies. (Spiderman?) Change Mr. Evans’ contract.

I don’t know if cameos count as movie contracts (since they are supposedly uncredited, I doubt they count). Maybe we will see Mr. Stan in A:AoU. Maybe not.

One thing is sure, we are going to see Bucky again. A lot. So worry not, my friends. His fate will be known pretty soon. (Unless all my speculation based on contracts is wrong, in which case don’t pay attention to this post).

I would like to acknowledge MGM entertainment for continuously saying ‘this organisation’ instead of giving it a name, so they can build up Spectre without any continuity errors (except Quantum but that’s only mentioned once in the movies).

I would like to acknowledge them for keeping Mr. White’s character mysterious all the way through the movies and for bringing him back in Spectre.

I would like to acknowledge them for being amazing at building this up without even *having* the rights to SPECTRE in the hopes that they would get them eventually.

Because that is absolutely amazing and I think they deserve that shout-out.
