Concept art by Milo Manara for an aborted remake of the 1968 sci-fi movie, BARBARELLA. The original of course was directed by Brigitte Bardot’s first husband, Roger Vadim. He had wanted her to star in it, but she refused, and the part eventually went to Jane Fonda.

Hello my name is Harold N. I hear you want to be my friend. I’ll take your money til the end and leave you dying but you’ll pretend it wasn’t me cuz I’m your friend. u choose me over everything your family your job or school til pretty soon there’s no one who will help you out when u are sick but I come save the day again I am your hero n i know I’ve got u thru the break up too when you were sad and mad and pissed it was Me who came to visit Now that we’ve become real pals remember ur stuck with me now if even just a day goes by and you do not come and say hi I’ll make u feel like u should die But never fear just keep me close by But here’s the thing I don’t come cheap I’ll cost u more than u might think at first it might not seem so bad but here I am with your overdraft. And on the days u can’t afford ull start to sell all that is yours. Even worse u sell what’s not like when u sold moms favorite watch, Until u end up on the street and stealing meat to sell for cheap then finally I’ll stop on by. Harold n the hero n I’ve come to take your healthy life first your veins the arm and hand. Then the rest I do feel bad but it’s not my fault really see I’m just ol Harold from down the street. Maybe ull be strong enough to cut me off I’ll call your bluff. But sometimes I’ll admit ur tough Once we meet it never ends I’ll always be there like true friends Harold n that is my name the hero n this life of pain.
