I must say it's been some time. Since the last post I've sold my Nikon and all the photos I took were captured on a phone. A lot of them turned out great, but somewhere deep inside me I missed having the fun that comes with using "a proper camera", figuring out the way I want this photo to look like, etc.
Fast-forward a few years later, I moved from one country to another to came back to my home country. A few months ago, my boyfriend planted the idea of getting a camera again. While at first, I discarded this thought as being an expensive hobby and argument that my phone already takes great pictures, I started doing research and came across a deal for a Fujifilm mirrorless camera. Without hesitation, I purchased it and kicked off (again) my adventure with armature photography.
It's been a few months now and I am extremely happy with this purchase. Most of the photos end up on my Instagram (here), mostly as a story. This basically means that my photos are temporary and suited only to be viewed on a small screen, which I feel sometimes does not showcase the full beauty of the photo. Hence, I wanted to come back here.
Since I'm equipped with new gear and a new energy to go outside and capture the moments, I will be sharing the most significant pieces here. I will also try to give a bit of background to those pictures, hoping you will be able to enjoy it as much as I do.
I will try not to copy the same content that appears on my Instagram (follow me there btw ;)) but share just the unique pieces.
For now, enjoy the view of the Ryanair flight departing from Wrocław, Poland, arriving at... Who knows where? Let this be a symbol of what's to come, what the future brings and hopefully I will post something else soon.
Wish me luck!
Yours, basicphotographer
