Basil’s never had a romantic partner or fallen in love before. She does hold a lot of love in her heart though, and shares it as easily as she breathes. Her easily affectionate and caring nature can be alarming to folks who keep their guards up, suspicious of alternative motives, but she genuinely just loves seeing people be happy. It’s part of why she always carries around little tins of goods she’s baked. It’s a simple, direct way to show people she cares and wants them to be happy.

★ Family! (fact prompt)

Basil’s got an absolutely massive extended family. The Dewdrops have been settled in the region for generations, and are both well established and prolific. Her grandfather and his seven siblings each had five kids on average, and most of them had at least one kid, often more, themselves. Every year, Basil, her uncle, and her brother will host a giant Dewdrop family reunion at their homestead, spanning five days with folks coming and going at leisure. It’s become something of a town event for the shopkeepers of Pelican Town when it rolls around, the four generations of Dewdrops totaling more than the population of the Town itself and more than happy to support local business. Basil’s second favorite non-immediate family member is Uncle Garlic.
