I’ve decided that all bats fall somewhere on this horrid little graph I’ve devised. Here are some prime examples of the various Creature Varieties found in nature.
Hi OP no notes I just wanted to add some more guys because I have disorders
You’re so correct about all of these and it is our human right to be incredibly disordered about bats online. Thank you. Let’s go take ibuprofen together.
[cracks knuckles]
From left to right:
-Wrinkle-faced bat (Centurio senex) -Visored bat (Sphaeronycteris toxophyllum) -Mediterranean horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus euryale) -Lesser Bulldog bat (Noctilio albiventris) -Florida Bonneted bat (Eumops floridanus) -Jamaican fruit bat (Artibeus jamaicensis) -Ghost-faced bat (Mormoops megalophylla) -Hammer-headed bat (Hypsignathus monstrosus) -Eastern Tube-nosed bat (Nyctimene robinsoni) -Common vampire bat (Desmodus rotundus) -Brown Long-eared bat (Plecotus auritus) (or possibly another member of Plecotus) -Black flying fox (Pteropus alecto) -Ghost Bat (Macroderma gigas) -Hoary bat (Lasiurus cinereus) -Pied Butterfly Bat (Glauconycteris superba) -Wahlberg's epauletted fruit bat (Epomophorus wahlbergi) -Honduran white bat (Ectophylla alba) -Northern ghost bat (Diclidurus albus) -Northern Myotis (Myotis septentrionalis) -Kitti's hog-nosed bat (Craseonycteris thonglongyai) juvenile -Greater long-nosed bat (Leptonycteris nivalis)
I'm pretty confident on all of these except the Northern Myotis because they pretty much All Look Like That.
