these are the five browser extensions (that aren’t momentum) i use the most as a university student! if anyone has recommendations for any other extensions, please drop them below :)
a healthy habit I’ve adopted recently is asking myself “how is this serving me”. I take this approach mostly when I’m scrolling through social media but it works for me in other aspects of life as well, such as when staying up late reading. Or what I’m feeding myself, sometimes it IS having that butter & honey on my fruit toast or having those cookies if it nourishes my soul. But having that question “how is this serving me” also lets me be conscious of how I am spending my time & resources. It allows me to tune into my goals and each step that either brings me closer or further from these

studyblr community challenge ➝ day 7 - What is your goal for your studyblr for the next few months?
I’m hoping to keep up with posting regularly and use this blog as motivation to keep caught up on my work!

Tips for Improving your Self -Esteem
The following suggestions may be helpful for a person who finds that they are struggling with low self-esteem:
1. It starts with a decision to be your own person. Don’t live your life to please, or impress, others.
2. Try to grasp the fact we have different goals and values … And don’t be swayed by people who criticise your dreams.
3. Don’t compare your journey to someone else’s journey as we start from different places and face different challenges.
4. Be kind, understanding and patient with yourself. Accept mistakes and failures are part of all our lives. Also, choose to frame mistakes as learning opportunities.
5. You need to root for yourself, and seek to be your own best friend. Don’t put yourself down – in public, or when you’re alone.
6. Remind yourself a weakness can become a strength in time. It takes patience and effort – but eventually things change.
7. Make a list of what you’re good at, and keep adding to the list. Also, note the strengths that others see, and comment on, as well.
8. Treat yourself with respect and praise the things that you do
9. Find ways to dissipate and channel negative emotions. Don’t allow them to dictate the way you start to see yourself.
10. Spend time with those who like you, and can see your worth and value. Ignore those who attack you, and would like to see you fail.
11. Choose to stand up for yourself, and value being more assertive. Also, set and then enforce appropriate, healthy boundaries.
12. Admit your mistakes - then learn to laugh at yourself. It helps remove the pressure and the stress of “being perfect”.
studyblr community challenge ➝ day 6 - Why did you decide to do this challenge and what is your goal?
I decided to do this challenge because this is such a new blog and I wanted to meet/find some people in the community and use it as inspiration for what to post. Most of my previous studyblrs I didn’t make a lot of original content on, so I thought this challenge would be nice to help me get some “momentum”.
Honestly so glad to see that online study communities have mostly moved on from that idea that if you didn’t have specific stationery and an overexposed editing style with a stark white desk then you weren’t worthy of education or a platform.

day 3 - Why did you create your studyblr?
I had studyblrs before this, but I made this studyblr because I wanted a studyblr that was a main blog, and I wanted a fresh start with my studyblr for when I started university.
day 4 - How long have you had a studyblr?
I first made a studyblr in 2018, I’ve had a couple different studyblr blogs by now. This one has been around since just this September.
day 5 - Have you ever done a challenge before?
I’ve never done a studyblr challenge (or any other challenge like this) before! I don’t tend to be very good at committing to things like this so we’ll see how it goes.

okay, going to try not to think about the fact that october is in two days. i love the spooky season, but time needs to pump the brakes a little!!
it is still 80+ degrees in the bay area but i’m going to act like it’s truly autumn anyway. october is going to be a stressful month (for many of us, i’m sure) so i’m trying to focus on self-care to keep my mental health straight. today i brought out all the spiced apple/pumpkin/orange scented candles i have and last week i stocked up on probably enough books to last me the rest of the year. lately i’ve also been writing more, which has lent a lot of much-needed catharsis. there’s something about the shortening days that seems to spark inspiration for me.
hope everyone’s having a great week :-)
