Joker's innuendos have to mean something, right? You can't tell me he wouldn't actually want to do the do with Batman. I get that it's doing the thing where queer person is bad and predatory, but I doubt that was why they removed the lines at all. Changing the word love to devotion doesn't make any sense at all, and I am especially sad that they removed Batman's 'darling' because it totally changes the mood of the scene.

Dotf's joker has the gayest mannerisms I've ever seen and its only fitting for his dialogue to match

Do you know in which comic Batman saved the Joker from Wonder Woman, who called him out for protecting his monster? I love that Bruce kept rescuing Joker and people noticed and told him to STOP but he just never listened. I’m getting sidetracked but the preview from World’s Finest got me screaming again.

Though yeah, "Stop protecting your monster" is such a raw line, I love it. One of my fave reactions to Bruce's utter refusal to let Joker die. Though I gotta give Frank Castle his due as well, since his reaction to it in Punisher/Batman: Deadly Knights is really funny:
