Will we see Annie interacting with the people of Kings Landing?
So often, the Kings Landing working class (and lower) are treated like accessories in someone’s story. It would be such a breath of fresh air if Annie, the healthcare professional, spent a lot of time *outside* of the red keep (if it’s even possible). I also think it would be a striking dichotomy between Annie and Evelyne!

like i’ve said before, this is as much a smallfolk fic as it is a baelor fic. one of the things i’m most excited about is finally getting to write king’s landing the way i’ve been imagining it for months. there’s so much happening there beyond the nobility and court politics.
one of my biggest frustrations with fandom is how the smallfolk are often treated as a prop rather than actual people. a lot of the time, they’re only brought up to prove that an oc is kind-hearted. it’s always something like visiting an orphanage or handing out food to the poor, which is nice, but it can feel a bit surface-level.
bc the smallfolk aren’t just orphans and nameless peasants. they’re fishermen trying to make a living. they’re merchants, bakers, sailors, blacksmiths, washerwomen, servants, healers, dockworkers, sex workers, widows, single mothers raising children on their own, and people who have their own opinions about the crown, the nobles, and the world around them.
that’s what interests me. not just their suffering, but their lives. their friendships, rivalries, ambitions, fears, prejudices, relationships, and everyday struggles. some of them are good people, some are selfish, some are cruel, some are funny. they’re not a monolith.
and i know it’s not always realistic for a noblewoman (which most ocs tend to be) to spend all her time wandering flea bottom making friends with everyone 😭 but that’s also why i find it interesting to explore the barriers between those worlds. nobles and smallfolk don’t experience westeros in the same way, and i think there’s a lot of storytelling potential in that.
so yh, king’s landing is going to be a very important part of the story, and i’m really excited to finally dive into all of those different perspectives and corners of the city because i feel like they’re just as important to the world as the people sitting on thrones.
