[ROCKÂ âEM SOCKÂ âEM DAIMYO]
ă Love  of  two  is  one.    Here, but  now  theyâre    gone. Came  the  last    night of sadness, and    it   was   clear   she    couldnât    go    on.    Then  the  door   was    open   and  the   wind    appeared. The  candles    blew     and     then    d i s a p p e a r e d. . .    The  curtains  flew  and    then    he    appeared,    s   a   y   i   n   g  ă
ââDonât be a f r a i d. Come on, baby,â and she had no f e a r.
ăAnd  she  ran  to  him,    then they started to fly.    They looked backward    and  said  âgoodbye.â    She  had  become  like    they are. She had taken    his   hand.   She   had    become  like   they  are.    Come     on     baby⊠   Donât  fear  the  reaper. ă

âI⊠If you read it from cover to cover, youâd just get to the instructions in another language. Do you, uh, want me to set that up for you sometime?â
âThatâd explain why the last couple pages didnât make much sense, but...Yeah, Iâd âpreciate that. Someday I need to get Hideharu to teach me more...â
⊠⊠âŠ
âAnd⊠And the manual? The manual, Hidemasa? Did you lose that or something? That woulda told you how to use it in the first place.â
âN-no! I got that too, and I read it cover to cover. Three times! I canât make sense âa none of this - I can hardly figure out how to work a remote, let alone somethinâ like this. Iâm not good at these things like you are!â
@esotericentities
âOh, I still got it. I just...Canât figure out how to work the thing, so I left it in the glove box. It beeps at me every time I try to set it! You know Iâm no good with technology, Katsumoto.â

â⊠I guess. At least you couldnât have accidentally killed someone. I-If you had landed the wrong wayâŠâ
Katsumoto shies away despite Hidemasaâs smile, guilt still very evident on his face. Heâs staying quiet intentionally because he knows·the next words out of his mouth wonât be anything positive, and an endless chain of âitâs fineâ and âno itâs notâ wasnât particularly appealing at the moment. Not that it ever was to begin with.
It takes a few seconds before he can look Hidemasa in the eye again, his first instinct being to brush the blondeâs bangs aside to check for any kind of bleeding or bumps or bruises or something, something that proved he hurt him. Deciding that there wasnât anythingânot yet, at leastâthat needed attention, he clears his throat before he speaks again.
âWhatâs up? Did⊠Did you need anything? Or were you fucking around just because?â
Sitting up, Hidemasa chuckled, pulling the already-loose tie from his hair and allowing his long locks to fall free over his shoulders. He got to his feet without any indication of injury, now looking down at Katsumoto instead of up.
âBelieve me, Iâve had worse. You donât have to worry!â
At Katsumotoâs question, his smile slipped a few notches. He reached for his hair, beginning to play with it absentmindedly as he pondered his response.
âWell...Actually, I did kinda want to talk to you. Itâs nothinâ big! Itâs just...Kiyoko. I wanted to talk to you about her.â
⊠⊠âŠ
    ââŠAh shit.â
That was all he managed to say through all of the heavy breathing, all of the shaking, all of which caused by the sudden adrenaline rush that he really didnât need. Katsumoto swallows hard, hesitantly lowering himself to one kneeâhe definitely did a number on Hidemasa, for sure, and he was the last person the brawler wanted to be doing any numbers on in the first place. In retrospect, all of his talk about unnecessary violence didnât really seem to mean much, given how easily he tended to panic and resort to defending himself in the only way he knew howâwith his fucking fists.
Another reason why youâre a fuck up, Katsumoto. Nothing else is new. How the hell does he still put up with you? Between your mental fuck ups and your physical fuck ups and your personality fuck upsâhow the hell did you manage to fuck up so bad when youâve got such a great family history?
Idiot.
ââŠAre you, um⊠Are you alright there, KyĆ«tarĆ? S-Sorry about that, I didnât mean to.âÂ
Ugh. At least hearing his own voice silenced those thoughts, for the time being.
Though it took several seconds to reacquaint himself with reality, Hidemasa shook his head, eventually pulling himself back together. His head still hurt like a bastard, but nothing seemed to be broken - and considering what else couldâve happened, he could at least be grateful for his head.
He looked up at Katsumoto from where he lay and, seeing the grim expression on his face, gave him what he hoped was a reassuring grin.
âSo, I...Guess I got you, didnât I?â he asked, chuckling nervously. âThough Iâd say you got me just a little better.â
@esotericentities
Among retainers, Hori Hidemasa. It was a phrase that stuck to the sharpshooter whether he liked it or not - but for all his sense of duty, it didnât mean he was totally incapable of having fun.
Heâd spotted Katsumoto walking by just moments before, and as an idea formed in his mind, all the stories of just what happened when people snuck up on him left his mind. Pulling his poncho over his face, he crept in from behind, raising his arms over his head.
âBoo!â
- Except the word didnât quite have the chance to leave his lips before Katsumoto grabbed him around the middle. In an instant he was up in the air, poncho falling off to reveal his startled face, and then-
THUNK
His head struck the ground with teeth-rattling force, his friend bringing him down so hard that for half a second he remained in a headstand, feet kicking helplessly in the air. As the rest of him collided with the floor, he groaned, cradling his aching skull. What were you expecting, Kyutaro?
Tell my character things they shouldn't know or don't want to hear.
ăŸ(ïŸĐŽïŸ)ïŸ
âWell, duh! If anyoneâs ever gonna put you in a casket, itâs gonna·be me! You ân me are âsposed to live forever, remember.â·
She continues to pound away at Hidemasaâs chest, bap, bap, bap, bap, stopping only when he mentions him·again. How annoying! ·Kiyoko knew·they werenât ever going to get along ever, so why was it that her father kept trying and trying and trying?
âI mean it, Daddy, the next time I see him Iâm gonna fight, fight, fight·him! You canât stop me, âcause he deserves it!â
âHaha...Yeah...Ya sure are...â Hidemasa chuckled nervously, shifting a little in his seat. While hearing these sort of things from her daughter was par the course, heâd never quite adjusted, and still found it more than a touch unsettling.
Leaning back, he closed his eye, letting out a long exhale. Kiyoko was a grown woman now, at least in terms of age - his fellow retainersâ children around her age had been falling over themselves to separate from their parents years earlier, and while he appreciated her wanting to stay close, it grew tiring at times.
âSweetheart, ya canât fight Katsumoto. Youâll lose, first off. I just...Wish youâd both get on a little better. If you donât like him, why donât you spend some time with his daughter? Sheâs close to your age, and Iâm sure youâd like each other.â

âYou coulda done something about it! And if you feel as bad as you say you do, why the hell do you keep trying to drag my brotherâs name through the mud?! Each time you open up that stupid mouth of yours you sound more and more like a hypocrite!â
âWhat happened to your brother was beyond terrible, but that donât excuse the way he conducts himself now. Loss changes a person, I know it does - but Iâve never seen someone act like such a low-down scum the way he does because of it. Or am I supposed to think thatâs okay?â

Though Kiyokoâs tiny fists did little to actually harm Hidemasa through ample layers of muscle and fat, he groaned, theatrically throwing one arm over his eyes as she continued to pummel him.
âOw, ow, owwww! Youâre gonna put me in a casket if you keep that up!â he whined, barely managing to hide a grin.Â
âAnd...I know that things didnât go well with Katsumoto last time, but I wish youâd give him more of a chance, honey. Heâs my best friend! He just gets frustrated sometimes because he wants to do things with me too. I mean, we donât really get to see each other that often as it is...â
â©â«âȘ
âBut you let it happen anyway, why?! âCause you were trying to follow âordersâ?! Most of them werenât even soldiers! How the hell can you even sleep when you know you killed a bunch of innocent people?!âÂ
Magoroku hadnât expected to get so heated over the course of this conversation, but⊠Well, could anyone really expect him to act civil when he looks one of his clanâs killers right in the face? He should have been happy that he even made it this far.
âYou think I donât think about it every damned day? Iâve never forgotten it, and I canât sleep at night. I know that donât make what happened any better, but we ainât all as heartless as Nobunaga. Donât you think for a second that we all just forgot about it after it was over.â
