Wishlist AUs - Life is Strange;

The return to Arcadia Bay had only ever been for the photography class at Blackwell College and his twin brother, Richard Mundy had tried to be clear about that. For the first few weeks of classes, things had gone well but that all came to an abrupt end when he saw another person die. Fortunately, the punk didn’t stay dead.

After discovering the strange and unexplainable ability to rewind time, Dick found that he couldn’t avoid the punk he’d saved no matter how hard he tried. They somehow wound up becoming reluctant friends after the myriad encounters and after yet another near-death experience he had no choice but to tell Judas the truth. Things only got more complicated after that, with premonitions of the end of the town and a missing girl at the top of the list of problems.

Rewinding only goes back so far.

He’d backed himself into a corner with that one and he knew it, sighing heavily as he rested his hands on Judas’ hips. He was used to his boyfriend, used to the little differences in how he sat and moved depending on his mood. Unfortunately, that didn’t do much for him now. “It’s jus’ a problem I’ve had since I was a kid. Ain’t that big a deal.”

For insurance, he leaned down, finding it amusing that he could still huddle against Dick’s chest without worrying too much about the older man trying to wiggle away from him. “What problem? If it makes blue weird, maybe it’s a bigger deal than yah tellin’ me.” Judas glanced up at Dick from where he was cuddling, being very good at NOT wiggling his hips.

He tsked lightly, not actually bothered for the most part. Maybe he was finally not being so lazy, but Judas’ excess energy was a lot less irritating as of late. “No, it’s not that. I don’t want yew to chuck anything, love. It’s– well, complicated.”

“Hm?” Complicated sounded like something he didn’t know. He quickly picked himself up and crawled over, straddling his boyfriend in a way that meant less sexual intimacy and more a chance to get closer to him. “How’s it complicated?”

“That wasn’t artistic. That was yew being a tease and yew know it, Roo.” He shrugged, seemingly unconcerned with the accusation. He’d gotten the photo he’d wanted, the smile. That was what mattered. “No clue, yet. But I like them. It’s nice seeing yew without having to think about colour.”

Now was his chance to wink, and he made sure to do it while Dick was looking. At the very least, he’d calmed down SOMEWHAT. That, or Dick was catching up with his libido. He wasn’t sure yet. “Figures that’d be important.” He didn’t want to talk about what had happened recently. “I can jus’, yanno, chuck everythin’ blue I got.”

“Sure yew aren’t,” he muttered, shaking his head as he set the new picture down. “I like pictures. They’re made of memories. I mean, there’s other reasons too, but that’s the main one.” The unamused look from a few moments ago vanished, replaced with a teasing grin. “Yew weren’t opposed to me taking photos when yew were shirtless, now were yew?”

The Scout hid a grin by biting his lip, leaning back to prop his elbows up on the bed. “That’s ‘cause I was bein’ artistic. Then ya kept tryin’ ta’ fuck me up so I’d laugh.” One time, alright. He’d gotten him one time. “Where are ya gonna put all these pictures, anyway?”

“I’ve never taken an unflattering photo of yew and I don’t plan to start.” He chuckled, pulling the photo from the slot and setting the bulky camera down. “When did yew get all camera shy?”

He sniffed loudly to prove his masculinity, leaning forward once Dick put the camera down. “Hey, I’m not camera shy. This is jus’ like, what, the 60th picture? Ya tryin’ ta’ put me in an album or did ya wanna enjoy the real thing?”

Maybe if he closed his eyes tightly enough he’d wake up in bed the same way he did that morning, groggy and ready to run only to be distracted by his boyfriend’s sinful mouth. Maybe then he wouldn’t have to swallow a pained groan from the sound of his bat making harsh contact with his boyfriend’s head instead. What the fuck were they doing?

If he waited any longer to strike and miss the opportunity he knew the Spy would see he had, it would be harder, Judas knew that. Fuck, he shouldn’t have forgotten his scatter gun. Doing it like this– it was so much worse. “Fuckin’ die already, won’t ya?” It took all the strength he had not to let his voice break, kicking Dick back on the shoulder enough to stagger him so that he could throw another hard swing.

His laugh was choked at the question, asking himself the same thing. He knew how long it coud take to die from the bats, though. If Judas didn’t crack his damn skull open he might not even die straight away. At the very least, he might get knocked out.

“Try–” His sentence was cut off by the next swing, the hit knocking him to the ground. His body slammed into the ground, the last thing he registered before he fell unconscious.

He was panting with his second throw, stomach caving into his ribcage with every heaved breath. The second that the older man hit the ground, he stopped, biting HARD on the inside of his cheek, only stopping once he felt like he tasted copper pennies in his mouth.

".. There. He ain't gonna be snipin' fer a while," he muttered despite himself, though he KNEW Dick wasn't dead. He was surprised he managed to speak over how badly he wanted to throw up.

The animatronic just stared for a moment before shifting, flopping over the very end of the bed and freeing up the rest for the lad. “Moved.”

Judas peered at him oddly, lifting one of his arms to scratch at his side as he rounded the bed. “Didn’t know ya was gonna take over the whole thing when I said ya could lay there.”

“Lad wasn’t here.” It was his only excuse, curling up on himself and resting his chin on his paw and hook. “More room for me.”

The security guard arched a brow at the metal lump on the end of his bed, yanking up the sheets a little so he could climb under them. "Sheesh. I didn't know you guys slept, anyway."

The eyepatch flicks up, the eye underneath lighting up enough for the animatronic to see. “Already?”

The suddenness of it freaked him out enough to stagger back a step, mildly grumbling. “What do ya mean ‘already’?! I gotta sleep, I’m human.”

The animatronic just stared for a moment before shifting, flopping over the very end of the bed and freeing up the rest for the lad. “Moved.”

Even with the sound of Spy cloaking behind him, he knew the bastard was watching. It was too convenient of a scene to walk in on– no unsuspecting teammate would have let him get away with it. “Think it’s funny ta’ sit up here and pick us off one at a time?” His voice was deeper than it usually was, an octave off, and maybe Dick would know it was killing him with each movement. 

He felt like he was moving in slow motion, like the weight of his bat was heavier than he was. But he was swift on his feet and he dodged and kicked Sniper’s kukuri towards the entrance of the hide. A part of him wanted to hold back and let Dick get the upper hand instead, just make it easier– but he doubted it would be weird from either side. Both of his shaking hands gripped his bat tight enough to stop their trembling, gritting his teeth as he took a harsh swing at Dick’s head.

“Why do yew think I’ll tell yew, brat?” he bit out, vividly remembering the first time he met the Scout. He’d wound up going out the window and Dick had shot him. He didn’t feel the same ploy would make things any easier for his boyfriend to handle or he would have tried and made it look like an accident.

The first blow wasn’t going to be enough to kill him. He knew that before Judas even swung, having had far too much experience with the damn Scouts and their bats. The hit knocked him to the side, a burst of pain rocketing through his body. He could feel the blood trickling down his face even as he stuggled to catch his breath from the fall to the side, forcing himself back up onto his knees. He had to at least pretend to fight.
