Legit.
You're not going to see results the day after you start deadlifting. You're not going to see those abs after one hour on the treadmill. You're not going to bench 300 pounds your first time lifting. Stay with it. Stay strong. Stay motivated.
Maybe a Lil bit.
Get it, fellas. No excuses.
True story.
A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly…If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.
Roald Dahl (via wordsnquotes)
This goes for mind and body, kids. Don't you ever forget that.
Making fun of a fat person at a gym, is like making fun of a sick person at a hospital.
Well just shower thoughts keeps it coming. Let me tell you something. If you, for one second, even approach the idea of making fun of someone because they're overweight and at the gym, well then you just pack your shit up back in your bag and walk out the door because you don't belong there. I'm not an overly sensitive guy. However, if you don't understand that it takes so much more for them to be there and to exercise, mentally and physically, you need to stand back and assess what Fitness is. Every step that he or she takes is a heavier step and more of a chore. As well as 20 times the determination of someone who has 10% body fat running 6 miles on the treadmill. If you feel like you need to say something to them it had damn well better be, "Keep it up. Looking good."
You accidentally trip on your dog in the middle of the night, but they will think you specially got up to kick them.
True, this is a funny thought and sit out for that purpose. But it got me thinking. It's like when life hits you with something. Life is just being life. It's ups and downs and happenstance. It's not out to get you. It's what you think when life does kick you that makes all the difference. There is nothing out there in the universe that's trying to crush you. There's nothing out there that's your enemy. It's quite simply just life. It's how you respond that defines you.
It's every day. Every decision. Not just with your fitness goals, but with your life goals. What did you do today to be closer to them tomorrow?
