hi making a quick pinned post about this blog as i delve in to making pages and start to re-follow people:

i’m ilse (they/she, 25+) and i’m from new york city and very obnoxiously so. my rules are under construction, but the old set on my blog are still true.

this blog has existed since august 2017, but i rebooted it july 2020. i’ve been writing kady on and off since before august 2017, and am glad to be back to it.

my relationship with the magicians is usually to say fuck canon because the show pisses me off a lot of the times especially in regard to how kady is treated. i’m currently doing a rewatch, but you should know i have not watched s5 or the end of s4 yet. i’m getting there during this rewatch but i rage quit the show right around that time. typically i prefer writing s2 redo kady but that more i get in to later seasons that may change, esp with kady helping hedges storyline!

this is gonna sound pretentious maybe but here goes: i’ve been writing kady for a good chunk of time, and well before the show may or may not have tried to give her a backstory. if any of my headcanons go against something in s4 or s5, it’s not canon on this blog until / unless i say it is. honestly tho i highly doubt they went that far in to her canon... but putting it as disclaimer hereeee. but no stress on writing s5 based things u probably will just have to fill me in : /

i’ll sometimes post headcanons about the hedges. brakebills, write ups of the magicians universe, etc. you’re free to reblog and use with credit.

still typing up verses but so far i know i will have: a wolf verse, a vampire verse, a legacies verse, a general tvdu verse, a harry potter (gryff) verse, and a mutant verse [x].

Sneaking back out of the Forbidden Section of the library is more of a bitch than sneaking in was in the first place. Somehow, they make it out in one piece, breath ragged and skin flushed and leather bound books sticking to sweaty skin. Kady flashes as exasperated look at the other girl.

Brooke had been easy enough to write-off ––– just another basic NYU from the middle of nowhere come to the big city with wide eyes and high aspirations. The stench of naivety follows those girls wherever they go, but the moment Brooke uncovered what –– who Kady was, she saw through the cracks in the facade. Brooke was running away from tragedy too.

Loss is a bitch . But if Kady had the antidote, she’d have used it long ago. A beat. Kady grazes her thumb along the back of Brooke’s hand before she gets up, heading toward the walls of bookcases in her living room.
