Today, someone has been lamenting that all stories which feature LGBT characters are about the characters suffering, sorrowing, going mad, and dying. Yesterday, someone was lamenting that all stories which feature LGBT characters are frothy, fluffy, happy stories where nobody has any serious problems and the characters are unrealistically sweet and wholesome. The person making the first complaint (proudly) only reads Very Serious Important Literature and watches Very Serious Important Cinema. The person making the second complaint (just as proudly) only watches childrenās cartoons. This is literally true, but it is also a parable.
