Finally posting my ref sheet for my Venture Bros OC, Yuna :)
Lore and more info:
- As evident by her name, she is Mike Sorayama's daughter, yet she never met him until after her accident when she was 17. - A bit older than the Venture twins. She kinda has the same relationship with Dean as Hank does with Gary, where they're completely friendly and cordial outside of arching their dad. - Born and raised by her mother and grandmother in Tokyo, so she doesn't speak English very well and prefers to speak in Japanese, or oftentimes not at all.
Yuna had a happy life before the accident. She was a bright and athletic student, excelling in karate, baseball, and academics. She was planning on attending university when a train accident left her in a coma for several months, devastating her friends and family. She remained in the hospital for several months until her father found out about her condition. After lots of convincing (and bribery in the hospital's case) for the hospital and her family, he was able to transfer her to the United States, where he claimed that his highly advanced robotics technology would be able to save her.
And saved her, it did--but not in the way that anyone expected. The robotic transplants added to her body greatly boosted her speed, strength, and endurance, making her the perfect assassin and hitwoman for her father. Night vision was also implemented, turning her eyes from dark brown to an inhuman green. Another side effect, unfortunately, was that her implants vastly muted her emotions, allowing her to kill without remorse and causing her to feel completely indifferent about her family and former life. While her old emotions aren't completely gone and occasionally resurface, she is a wildly different person than she once was. Her strongest emotion was her loyalty to her father, as he was the one who saved her from "living the rest of her life in a brain-death state in a hospital bed." (Translated, obviously).
When she stumbled upon her father's dead body, she dedicated herself to avenging him and killing Doctor Venture, even joining so far as to join the Guild and disguising herself as one of the Monarch's henchmen. After the events of season 3, she quits and lays low for a bit.
