i don’t know how effective it could be, but it is a start. make your voice be heard. uplift the voices of filipinos. appeal to the government. send them emails stating the law is unconstitutional and therefore should be terminated.

here’s a short tweet describing what we can currently do now that it’s been signed into the law:

Guys, take note that:

1. The law’s effectivity is fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazzette (so hindi pa siya agad effective).

2. Our recourse at this point is to question the law’s constitutionality before the Supreme Court.

update: the bill has been signed into the law by our president. the next chance we have is to appeal to the supreme court. i don’t know if, when, or how this is going to happen.

so i really hate that i have to do this but i don’t know what else to do right now. my mom has a medical procedure on july 8th and we need help affording a place to stay, transportation, and gas. unfortunately the place that she has to get it is 100 miles away due to insurance reasons. and because the procedure requires her to be under anaesthesia she has to have someone drive her and wait in the waiting room for her (which i cannot do). as for a place to stay, she’s supposed to be down for a couple days at least which she can’t do if we’re stuck in our car. especially since we’re homeless and our car is full of everything we own. all together this is going to be around $325. i’m sorry i know that’s a lot and this is a hard time but i don’t know what to do. like i said earlier, we are both homeless and health issues (including being immunocompromised) have ruined any chance of working with covid19 skyrocketing here. this procedure isn’t something she can really push back either. for more info: i don’t know exactly what it’s called but it’s a sort of procedure that she has to get every few months to deal with nerve pain. if she doesn’t get this she literally cannot function. even a dollar would help and if you can’t donate then please reblog this! thank you so much for reading.

Demolish the nuclear family norm. Destroy the idea that your only option is to live alone until you move in with a romantic partner with the intention of marrying.

Realize that burdens are easier shared, and humans aren’t solitary creatures. Remember that living with others you can share resources, share skills, share responsibility.

If you are dreading the idea of living alone, realize you don’t have to.

Move in with your friends, create your own little commune. Support eachother and split costs. Complement eachothers shortcomings. Be there for eachother. Coexist.
