Happy Friday! 👋😃 I finally got to share one of my newest acrylic paintings: my 11x14-inch tribute to Halley’s Comet! ✨🎨
There’s something incredibly special about painting something I’ve always found fascinating about space. Every brushstroke, every splash of color, and every little star was created by my own hands. It may not be perfect, but that’s exactly what makes it mine. ❤️
For me, handmade art is about the person behind the canvas—the curiosity, imagination, patience, and love that goes into creating something from nothing. I wanted this painting to capture that sense of wonder I feel whenever I look up at the night sky. 🌌
Halley’s Comet last visited Earth in 1986, about 40 years ago. I wasn’t even born when it made that historic appearance! 😄 But when it returns again in 2061, I’ll be 67 years old—and hopefully I’ll be outside looking up at that same incredible comet streaking across the sky. ☄️✨
So why paint Halley’s Comet in 2026?
Because it’s never too late to celebrate a cosmic milestone! 🚀🌠 Consider this my little artistic tribute to the 40th anniversary of its 1986 appearance.
