Jenny never took her own siblings for granted, consistently showing them little signs of affection depending on their forms of love language. Her brother liked gifts and she would spoil him rotten, while her sister liked acts of service so she would take care of smaller errands for her. This dynamic allowed for them to see how they should be treated by their significant others in the future and that was part of Jennyâs goal when deciding she would do this for them. âI mean.. I know that⊠I just know that sometimes when thereâs a void⊠you can have the desire to⊠fill it..â sliding her glasses back on with a smile, she chuckled gently and looked over his features. Though they were vastly different, she could see a bit of herself in him and maybe that was attracting her to him even more. âAllenâŠâ she narrowed her eyes as she thought about it and then it hit her. But she wasnât going to say anything just yet, she wasnât particularly close to them so she didnât want to get his hopes up. âI mean I can see why youâd be worried but⊠my mother taught me that you never know whatâs on the other side of the door unless you open it. Even if you donât like what youâre greeted wth, at least you arenât keeping yourself in the dark.â obviously this was advice coming from a stranger so she didnât expect him to take it. âItâs not conventional but since Iâm the one who asked⊠Iâll pick you up and itâs my treat?â
benny was honestly surprised sheâd asked him out. he didnât at all expected. at this point in any conversation, he usually annoyed whoever it was he was talking to and they didnât typically stick around for anything else to happen. kennedy was his last girlfriend and things hadnât ended on good terms, not really and theyâd been together a while. so now, to even be thinking about going out with someone different was so crazy for him because itâd only been a few months since the break up. either way, he figured that it was about time he moved on anyways. it was about that time and jenny was nice. who would be be to reject a cool girl like herself? âthe last name ring a bell?â he questioned, raising one of his eyebrows. she hadnât said anything so he doubted it but he might as well ask. âhey, youâre not wrong. like forest gump once said - life is like a box of chocolates. you never know what youâre going to get.â he shook his head, âyou donât have to do all that now. iâd like to contribute something to the date, even if itâs me driving us around. i think i can handle that much.â
