       she’s been staring at a rack of clothes for the last ten minutes and she still can’t decide if there’s anything worth buying. this was easier back home, where there was only two small stores for her to choose from. here in new york, both of those local shops and more could fit in the store she’s in now. there’s just so much of everything; lila’s never had much of a flair for fashion. as it stands now, she finds herself glancing awkwardly around the store at the others who are easily picking off things from the rack. all at once, her eyes meet those of a girl beside her, around her age but maybe a few years older, and she’s almost embarrassed when she says,  ❛ i have no idea what i’m doing. i’m --- not quite sure this is where i should be for this... ❜

Ok but now I’m imagining Lila Barton dressed up as that Black Widow Fairy Witch that was going around when she was younger and she would have been so precious. Laura had to make some last minute alterations to the standard witch outfit but I imagine she’s quite crafty amd they sent a bunch of pics to Nat and Nick that year.

What you might call a continuity error, I call two very sweet moments between father and daughter. Yes, he high fives her in the first gif. (And not quite as important: that’s a huge grill! The Bartons will throw some amazing barbecue parties for the Avengers later.)
