Iāve been seeing this #valentinesDayChallengeļ»æļ»æā¤ļø going around Facebook and I donāt really feel like blasting all the details of my IRL relationship to the internet, so... Iām bringing it here for the OTP headcanons edition! (Feel free to copy and paste for your own ships)
OTP: Gyro Gearloose and Mark Beaks
Howād they meet: They were at the same university for a bit- Gyro was finishing his PhD and Mark was in undergrad. They were at some engineering department social event and ended up playing chess together.
How long have they been together: Depends on what timeline were in.
Married: Idk, I might do a wedding fic eventually? Markās mom would plan the whole event.
Kids: One Definitely Real Boy, and some other assorted robots.
Age difference: Gyroās about 3 or 4 years older, at least going by straight years from birth to present . If you factor in time-tub adventures, Gyroās racked up a couple extra.
Who was interested first: Mark.
Who is taller: Gyro, but only by a little bit
Who said I love you first: Mark, he throws the phrase around pretty casually. Gyro took several years to say it back.
Favorite tv show to watch together: Major Courage? š
Most impatient: Definitely Mark
Most sensitive: Probably Mark again
Most stubborn: Both? But Gyro probably wins by a bit
Falls asleep first: Neither are great at going to bed on time, but, since Mark canāt put his dang phone down for more than 60 seconds, Gyro probably sleeps a little better.
Cooks better: Lol, theyāre both disasters in the kitchen. Boyd loves to cook, though.
Better morning person: Gyro. Heās pretty set in his routine and gets up at the same time every day. Marks sleep schedule is all over the place.
Better driver: Gyro. Iām pretty sure Mark Beaks is the embodiment of the āgays who canāt drive ā stereotype.
Most competitive: Ooooo tough call, but probably Mark.
Who is the neat freak? Theyāre both messy, but Gyro at least tries to keep things tidy
Where was their first kiss? According to my main fic-verse, in Markās college dorm room. Alt fics have them in Markās office at Waddle, and the Duckburg Museum of Natural History.
How long did it take to get serious? In my main fic-verse? 13 years.
Who plans date night? Mark
Who picks where you go to dinner? Mark again
Whoās the first one to admit when theyāre wrong? Lol neither. They just devolve into petty bickering forever
Who has more tattoos? Gyro has none. Iāve joked about Mark having the Waddle logo on his buttock, but Iām not sure itās actually part of my canon.
Who sings better? Probably Mark? Heās not great but Gyro doesnāt even bother.
Hogs the remote? Mark for sure
Spends the most? Billionaire Beaks
Did they go to the same school? University of Hamsterdam for a bit.
