#born in the wrong era for real

Imagine trusting your contractor to order all the items you ask him to. You send him references and documentation, expecting to see everything you ordered in your new home.

To then learn that he did his own thing, completely ignoring your wishes and he bought what he wanted. He was gonna order different flooring (we found out by a freak coincidence) and were able to correct him. We then learned he installed the wrong shower base and was gonna install, you guessed it, the wrong shower doors. 😠

Also, his team of incompetent uneducated drunks completely failed to fix a bathroom sink to the wall (which we pre-assembled for them). We asked for it to be on a certain height and when we went to see the result, it was 6 cm’s too high. Might seem little but if you’re short like me, quite significant. So we asked them to re-do it on the height we asked. When they took it down, we discovered they had already messed up their first calculation and “hid” the holes by placing the piece higher. So now there are 8 holes in our tiles instead of 4. So they’ll have to replace the tiles too because the drill holes are visible of course.

Every step we saw moving forward during this reno, was like taking 2 steps backwards 🥲🔫

When will this nightmare be over?! 😤😡

I’m convinced if it were a team of women, the errors made during this whole process would haven been seriously lowered, dare i say 0 even. It’s like men lack the logical thinking ability and just DO instead of THINK.
