Hey i really want to start with digital art. Do you have any tips what tablet or programms is should use first?

Excellent! Although to be honest, I’m way behind on the times these days since I’m working literally all the time, day and night, and have had the same tablet for years, so not sure how helpful I can be.

I’ve heard that the Wacom Bamboo tablet is a good starting point. Wacom is the only manufacturer I’m familiar with, though. There’s all these drawing tools these days too that I haven’t used. Over the last decade+, the most user-friendly program I’ve used is Paint Tool Sai. Photoshop is way complicated for me. 

Sorry, I’m not super helpful in the technical aspects of digital art production. If anyone reading this has any thoughts, please share?

hi, I don't know if you've been asked this before, but I have a question about your zutara animated gifs - I was wandering if you were animating them from scratch with reference, or rotoscoping them from existing footage/gifs of real people? I'm thinking about starting to make some gifs and I remembered seeing yours a long time ago. thanks in advance :)

Rotoscoping all the way. =P I don’t nearly have an adequate enough grasp on animation to do without.
